Just made a quick visit to Quito. I owe you all for the info. You guys have it good here.

Went to 2 clubs while there. First was Touch Me. I had written down the old street number and could not find it easily. saw an old number across the street and knew I must be very close. Then I just looked around and saw a pink entrance with no signs but with a shotgun toting security guard in front. Bingo. Once in saw about 20 chicas sitting down and about 30+ guys just standing around. Thinking to myself wtf??? Used to having the girls come up to talk to you but none of that going on here. stepped out and asked the door man why everyone just standing around. He said didn't know or didn't care as long as they were buying either drinks or fichas, he was good. He gave me the rundown on the selection. went back in, made my pick and was a happy camper. Nice gal, but would have been all business. Then I spoke to here in spanish (fluent gringo) and she changed from business to non stop talk and much better service. great time until the cleanup when she pissed in the rubish bin. wtf? I know this is a cheap place, but can you at least wait until I get out of the room to do something like that.

next night went to club rojo. much better selection IMHO, but lots of fake tits there. Again, spanish got me much much much better service. No reason to go anywhere else.

Also found a few freebies around town while there. just have to be friendly in public places like main plaza or historic district. The street walkers I saw around there were trashy, however I am sure there are some jewels that I did not see.

Thanks for the memory, LOL. I met some nice girls and got nice service there. As I stated in the list comments, I could have spent my entire time in this one chongo as opposed to visiting several. Walking in and witnessing the guys sitting around, I felt no competition. I felt like an NBA star crashing a college dance. I had the pick of the litter, and pick I did. :)

A hotel wher I was many times where I never had problems inviting girls is hotel Majestic in the Santa Clara neighbourhood (10 minutes walking to Amazonas, 207, etc.) I's a safe hotel with friendly stap and very cheap.

You can always invite girls.

Also many hotels cater to the tourist crowd. Depending on how long you are going to stay, you can always find great deals. Hostels are always an option and many of them have private rooms and baths. [url]www.Ecuadorexplorer.com[/url] has a list of hotels and hostels you can check out.

I basically now look for apartments or apart-hotels. In my opinion, they are more comfortable and a better value for my money. In April I paid $60 a night at the colina suites. Atinea hotel is nice but also around 60 a night. They also have nice suites No matter where you stay you will have a blast.

They told me that Cafe Rojo reopens tommorow (Thursday 22th of july)

So, my first night in Quito has been one of disappointment and surprise. My night started out really well. On the flight from Medellin to Quito, I helped some chica on the plane with her luggage, she was extremely grateful and gave me her number and told me to call her, so I'm flying high. Blow right thru customs unlike Colombia where they interview you and search you 2 or 3 time before you get out of the damn building. Went to the money changer to change money then realized I can use USD (oh yeah this is awesome). Taxis damn cheap, I'm loving it, 4 buck from the airport to my apt. Muy bien!

Now is where things start to take a turn for the worst. I arrive at the shabby looking hotel. They have my reservations but not my online payment. After 20 mins and showing a confirmation of payment. The manager still forces me to pay them what they say I owe and take it up with the online company later. Whatever man just give me a room! My fault I have no plan b, I accept that. So, I change recheck the boards and I'm off.

I arrive at Extisis (sp) about 9pm. Heavy intimidating security. I'm told the entry fee is 24 USD not 17 USD as quoted on the boards. I say hell no then leave. As I'm walking away I ask several guys, was that the right price? They said yes, so I return. I get inside the place is great, lots of hot girls. Even a couple of negras (my fav.) I was told the 24 dollar covers 3 drinks. Now I'm happy again ready to make a friend.

I call over a young pretty negra from Cali, Colombia that was at the bar, she's average height with lots of curves and a huge bunda. We hit it off immediately. Were telling jokes drinking and having a good time. Now I'm ready to move in to close the deal and make this party private in a room. I asked her how much? She told me $120 USD. I'm used to hearing this after coming from Colombia for a week, even though I did flinch. Then she tells me that I have to buy here 2 drinks and pay 40 bucks for the room. So, I'm looking a 200 bucks USD for 1 hour and one leche. I told her that was too rich for my blood and that was a bad deal. I told her I wouldn't pay that much for a piece of ass in the States or anywhere else. I didn't fly 4700k miles to spend 200 bucks USD on some ass, it's counterintuitive. The lowest price she quoted was 90 USD I said goodnight.

Over all awesome place, hot chicas, however over priced, security is too jumpy and intimidating. They asked for my ID and entered me in to a computer. Now I'm part of some sex trade database. GREAT! That's exactly what I need hanging over my head that could pop up at any time in my life.

I hit a few more spots, Kats near the hotel. Girls suck. I asked the waiter for a negra he send over a chick that had to be 50 years old. I bought grandma a drink for her trouble and got the hell out of there. I hit another place down the street, Dolce Vita. Found a chick there she asked me for a 100 bucks USD. I just left. Tax driver brought a girl by my room. Offered here 50 bucks USD. She wanted more. I just said Fu*& it and went to bed solo. I can't believe my wing may was right I should have never left Medellin!

I'm sorry that you had a rough night. You definitely met a lot of women that wanted to take you for a ride. It is true that if you do go to the high end strip clubs you will have to pay high end prices.

The best thing about Quito is afternoon play. There a lot of places that charge $8, $10, $15, and $20. But you do have to go to the casas. Cafe Rojo has a lot of beautiful women. Be careful though. They will definitely try to tell you a different price and also keep track of the time. One beautiful lady told me it was $100 for the hour. I just laughed. Also some of the women like to take their time in the beginning and then say, "times up".

Guajira is my favorite and Medellin Masajes has a lot of women. Just go past 3:00 PM. Tung's list is priceless.

Also, many of the ladies work at the cheaper casas in the day and than go to the higher end places at night.

La Gata Caliente on 520 Tamayo was also a great place but I'm not sure if they are still open.

Many places are hit and miss. So don't get discouraged. I'm sure you already purchased a cheap cell phone. You know the deal, get their number and negotiate outside of the club.

Forget about the high end clubs and just do the mid range chongos $20/25. Besides that go to otovalo and kotakachi (buy leather). The food is very good in grinolandia. The sex is on the bottom of the list when it comes to fun in quito.
