read today the thais are planning for 2014 f1 gp on the streets of bangkok, night race. not too sure what the thais hope to achieve by hosting what has become an outrageously expensive high speed circus. i think they have rigged a couple races this season, imho. williams winning in spain, haha.

If you go for a simple massage and half way through you decide to change your mind, you are in a weak bargaining position. Especially if by that time you are already sporting a hard-on.

A little off-topic here, but I hope you'll bear with me.

Used to party like a rockstar in Bangkok, but this is a long time ago. Had some local buddies who made it possible, good guys. Well this is over 30 years ago, and I have lost all contact with them. Anyone know if there may be some way to locate those guys? Made a serious effort some years ago, but no luck. Any one know of a government agency or any other way? Willing to pay if necessary. All I have is their names.

Any advice / help appreciated in advance.

"lang naam gaam nai bpaak" translated would be something like "rinse water of sexual desire in mouth" (depending on tones) , but really its not rinsing you do with sperm.

"gwaat" means to sweep or sweep away."gwaat lang" can mean to "get rid of" like as in a criminal gang is wiped out or corruption is wiped out. Not relevant I think.

"Mai khaai" means "not spitting out", but is not a request or instruction."yaa" means "don't do" something.

I think the wolf has been using the dictionary too much, instead of getting a natural expression from a Thai speaker.

I have never heard a Thai girl use the phrase "naam gaam" "water of sexual desire" which doesn't mean its not possible but sounds a bit funny to me. I am never speaking English with Thai MP girls. Always Thai. The normal phrase is "naam asuji" for sperm.

Here is what you really might say:

"Set nai bpaak dai mai" simply means "finish in (your) mouth, may I?"

"Set" means "to finish" but is the common word for "cumming" or orgasm.

"yaa khaay, dai mai" is a request to not spit it out, which is a bit sick really (what she does with it is up to her). But you have to be careful to get the right tone. Khaay could mean a camp or to sell something.

I'm impressed.

Rosetta Stone is okay for Vocab but very weak on speaking practice. You need repetative speaking drills to program it into the brain. Its not easy at the beginning.

A language requires great persistance (practise every day early on). I began studying Thai 20 years ago. 6 hours per week in a class. The first few months is about understanding the pronunciation more than anything else with a few basic phrases. Learn sounds that don't exist in English and learn tones. Thai Grammar is very easy. After that its just vocab and then can learn by yourself as long as have a teacher to correct pronunciation and phrases from time to time. I spent time with Thai girls 20 years ago who could not speak English. That forced my Thai to progress. After a basic command is reached, watching Thai Soapies on the TV can help. Thai News is only for really advanced speakers.

These days you can study Thai over the internet / Skype not too expensively from a foreign country but with a Thai teacher here in Thailand.

Many Farangs think they can speak Thai really great but actually sound funny with suspect pronunciation. Only a Thai can really say if we are good or not.

After 20 years, I still get wrong pronunciation corrected by a 12 year old kid.

Start learning Thai as young as possible. As we get older, it gets tougher to do things completely different to what we are used to.

Right now, I'm learning some Isaan dialect. Bar girls will often be yacking in Isaan style Thai which I only follow partially.
