For a number of reasons, I can think of. Some mongers I know just like to do long rooms. Some mongers I know only do long rooms when they are bored out of their mind. So from the latter group, I have actually been thanked. They explained to me that having me as a wingman saved them some money. Also when mongers are in a group, they tend to not take more than 90 minute rooms, in general. This may be due to common courtesy of not wanting to abandon their wingman on the couch, or this may be due to logistics (I. E. They arrived in the same car and one of them needs to catch a train). But I would argue that at megaclubs like Sharks this network communication effect amongst monger cliques on the couch is minimal.
