Most I have found to be true are medical needs for everyone and their brother. This to me has always been a puzzle. One contacted me the other day, a cousin, mind you a cousin had complication's in childbirth and needed something like 20 k. True probably as I know her, but WTF!! A cousin really, I very seldom ever hear from a cousin. Another thing I don't understand if there is a young cute girl or two in the family of 20 or so people somehow its their responsibility to take care of everyone, again WTF! Of course families know these girls may work in bars or are exposed to western men therefor you must have access to money. Get on your back or knees and make us some money. Again WTF!!That mentality just blows my mind. Medical is most of my request as there is no real healthcare there, no money they will let you die, barbaric. A bar girl I knew once lost her brother several years ago because of a ruptured appendix, that is unbelievable. I went home with one once, my God I bet there were 30 of them and allot of them were working age. I ask her about that. The men and women had more excuses why they could not work, but its ok if you screw your ass off with strange men every month??Pissed me off and I told them, you people need to go to work, funny I was not ever invited back. I will help the girl a bit if need be or maybe her children, but all that family shit I stopped long ago as they will break you if you let them.

Never fills up due to the mentality of entitlement that younger ones are to take care of them and pay for them as long as they get to have a $1 bottle of rum and sticky rice.

I personally made a mistake of asking my spinner's cousin to bring her 4 yrs old son once to eat Jolibee. Next thing I hear, there were about 30 some ready to roll. I pulled the plug at last minute saying I'm not feeling well and we should reschedule it next week. Thank god I was in Jakarta "next" week 😁.

Had one send through dodgy pics of a young girl with a leg missing and she claimed her daughter was injured in a motorcycle accident.

Although she'd told me she only had a son, she sent through pics of the medication she desperately needed money for and it was something to do with diabetes.

I just tell the good ones (by that I mean good in the sack) that I'll get my doctor friend in Manila to send her medication.

The conversation usually stops after that.

There is a site called Ding you can use it to send phone load. Get their number and carrier a send them a bit of load its 50 up to 1000 p of load. After you purchase it will let you add a Jollibee voucher of 300,500 or a 1000. You hungry dear sure here is 100 load and 500 Jollibee. I've done this a couple times, and the food request stop. It's real but still it is not my problem. For some of these girls, it is an endless amount of financial difficulties and giving them money once doesn't solve anything because there will be more problems due to the underlying issue that they don't have a job or make very little money.

Speaking of financial support requests. Look at the attached picture, my spinners cousin. Met up with them in iloilo on my last visit. Tried to hook me up with one of their friend for 5 k php for few hours just to come and hangout with me and "if she likes me" she will consider spreading her leg open. I just said fuck-off politely. Afterwards, when they hammer you with dodgy financial requests regarding their sick kids, it does get tedious. I generally say it's the father of their children to compensate them for their kid's needs and explain I'm not responsible for a child that's not mine. In a nice way.

I also explain that if I gave money to every Filipina who requested it, I'd be broke. Thankfully, my regular girls just appreciate my 'compensation' when I hook up with them. Phil.

Especially in the province. A lot of the working girls are from the province, especially in far out places like Samar or Mindanao. And I don't mean a city like Cebu or Davao. If you have never been out there and seen what life is like, you can probably never understand the pressure these girls are under. Family ties are strong, and they do have a sense of responsibility to take care of their families, and they are often expected to. Life is really at the subsistence level, or just above that.

Work laws and protections are pretty much non-existent. If you don't have skilled work, it is hard to get a job if you're over 30. There is a reason almost all of the workers in the mall are girls in their 20's. And, unlike western countries, it costs money to get the paperwork needed to get a legit job. So if you meet a girl's family and they are not working, this is probably why. If they don't have the ability to have their own business, they really probably can't find work. And, let's face it: in general, Filipinos aren't the best with money. Money comes and goes very, very easily.

This doesn't make their problems your problems. It is just the reason they are so eager to separate you from your money.

In all seriousness there are ways that single mothers or the extremely poor can get aid and most likely already receive it. If they don't qualify for 4 Ps it means their income is above the provincial poverty line. Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4 Ps) is more common in rural areas. They receive things like a healthcare subsidy, education subsidy, and its suppose to be money / cash card but often takes the form of a rice subsidy in the provence.

The aid in the form of a rice subsidy is the reason why most filipinos will say " I used to eat rice with salt" or "I eat rice with no ulam. " because most extremely poor filipinos do have access to rice subsidies. The LGU's know exactly who is poor enough to warrant the aid and they do give these families at least a rice subsidy even if they don't fully qualify for 4 ps they often times do still receive a rice subsidy. So if they say they receive no help but are truly in the bottom most demographic this is most likely not true. If they do not qualify for 4 ps then you know they have "some" money coming in from somewhere. I think the common foreigner impression stemming from their hubris some men believe they are the only hope and that these ladies have no options but that just isn't true. It is just easier to get the money and a lot extra from a foreigner than try to jump through the hoops to qualify for these programs.
