You might be confusing Paul Atkins murder with one of the other many murders.

Paul was a good friend, he was not an expat but a tourist, he was shot dead in broad daylight up past lost in Asia bar.

Yes he might have resisted but then again he might have not, the police and papers said at the time that there was no sign of a struggle or any blow marks on Paul indicating he was ambushed shot dead first and then robbed.

What stands out is that there is some real scum roaming the streets of Angeles who are willing to pull the trigger for all of $10, no wonder the president recently ordered the killing of thousands of drug addicted pinoy scum, only way to clear them out IMHO.

Earlier this month I had a few days in AC, which I have been doing about this time of year for a few years now. I flew with Qatar Airways, in order to fly right into Clark, unfortunately it all went wrong in Doha when I missed the connection due to late arrival. Its the first time I tried that flight, and coming from a 50 minute delayed departure at London (not uncommon these days), the transfer time of 45 minutes was obviously a problem. Anyway Qatar airways looked after the 13 of us pretty well, and offered choice of the same flight following day, or Manila and bus transfer 7 hours later same day. So we took that, and finally arrived at Clark 12 hours late. I had cancelled my airport pick up to Queens Hotel, but was able to get a drop off, as the "bus transfer" from Manila turned into a fleet of 7 seater taxis with 3 - 4 in each. So finally out on the street about 10 pm. Met a cutie on the street near 7-11 store beyond Margerita Station and took her back. Turned out when we got to the room she had started her mens, so I sent her away and took her number for later in the week. Turned out her number was already in my phone from a previous visit! Small world! Found another from wechat who wanted to bring her friend, I said no just one, but they both came anyway, then I had a call from reception saying there was another one there and I could only have 2 joiners in the room! All got a bit confusing and I ended up sending them all away. I tried to get the first one back on here own as she had really nice figure, but didn't manage it.

Following afternoon I took another wechat girl who was really good, fabulous BJ and really did it for me. I had a PL date lined up for the evening, so sent the afternoon delight on her way and took a rest. I kept her number and promised to see her after my planned visit to Subic, later in the week.

We called in at the Southern Drug Store (formally Mansion Drug) near the 7-11 store, where I bought a pack of 4 x 20 MG tablets. Best to start with a quarter or half, maximum. The effect is quite impressive, lasting after 1 hour for at least 24 hours, and no obvious side effects, and a rod as stiff as iron! Lovely. Back to the CPT for a visit from my PL girl, again a great all nighter and I was able to do her proud thanks to my new found friend! Paid her with a nice tip in the morning and took her down to the door again, just out of respect. A lovely girl, I will return for her. Think Jimmy has been in declining health and sold HTH to a third party a couple of years ago?

As I recall, Atkins was a British tourist who, about 5 or 6 years ago, was found dead, reportedly in a dark alley with his wallet and other valuables missing. Of course, the perps were never found. Many expat killings in the Philippines are unsolved crimes.

About a decade earlier, a genial Australian businessman, Owen Dolan, who had lived and worked in Angeles for a couple of decades, was killed. At the time, Owen was the manager of the Phoenix Hotel. Before that, Owen had owned and run a bar adjacent to the Clarkton. Reportedly, Owen returned home one night from the Phoenix Hotel, and surprised 3 burglars, who stabbed him repeatedly. Owen was taken to a local hospital and, reportedly, seemed to be recovering and planning to return home when he suddenly took a turn for the worse and died in the hospital.

Inept (or non-existent) medical care is a leading cause of death worldwide. Angeles certainly has its share of inept doctors and lethal hospitals.

P.S. There was some thought at the time that the 3 burglars might not have been random, but might have been "hired". By the way, the price of a "hit" in Angeles is reportedly somewhere south of P5,000. It is generally prudent to be courteous and low profile. Of course, that doesn't help if you are in "the wrong place at the wrong time." See short story "Appointment in Samarra". Think it was penned by W. Somerset Maugham? There is a similar Chinese story. The gist of which is that, when it is your time, Death will not be denied.

She was interestingly enough, a Filipina, and like most Filipinas I have met in America, a horrible person.) Time off is a precious thing. However, I can say now that it was well worth the 26 hour flight, only to arrive in Bangkok two days later. And that is what I am trying to metricize. But, by no means make a all-encompassing rating on an entire culture. What we want to do here is help the monger judge what they get for the time and money expended for the trip.

Note that I made some trip reports while I was still in Thailand, and indicated that a few of the girls I engaged, were average in looks. This drew the ire of one BM who asked why I went all the way to Thailand if I wasn't going to screw the most beautiful women. I responded that they are more things of interest in Thailand besides the women. What does that all mean? I know a lot of people hate the Philippines and I loved it. I enjoy beauty but find enthusiasm and passion in bed more important. I know my Rio trip was impacted by a low budget and not enough time to really get to know the place. I'd rather see people's summaries on how they viewed each place. Let me give you an example, and maybe people can chime in with their own.

I haven't mongered in a long time. My last trip was in 2006- so I doubt my scales would be relevant today. When I visited the Philippines in 2006 I had more fun than in any of the other places I've visited. I got help from a friend who introduced me to a fantastic girl and she was the apple of my eye for a whole great week, one of the most fun weeks of my life. Cuba was a fascinating sociological experience and it was just as interesting to see what Late Communism was like than to fuck the girl (although it was plenty interesting and she was gorgeous, too). I have this strange tendency to stick to one girl I really fancy which probably ruins my accounts for most people. I had a lot of fun in Rio and probably had the best sex and prettiest girls, but I got short on money very fast, in part because I did under-finance my trip. When I lived in Los Angeles I went to Mexico several times. By the time I realized I really liked one specific girl, she mysteriously vanished. Darn. Most of the other girls just went through the motions but there was one who really liked me. Loved the cost-effectiveness of going to Mexico. I could do the trip for a couple hundred dollars and get laid a few times for that.

For Cuba I had the specific question of what Communism was really like. Cuba has the most interesting and romantic appearance, the decaying buildings and ancient architecture had real charm even if the impact on the people is tragic. Rio was all giant condo-like buildings. Angeles has the nutty charm of the bars trying to outdo each other in their own special cheesy way. I almost got mugged in Rio but managed to escape. Everywhere else I had no problems at all.

I'd like to try Africa because it sounds like they have the most enthusiastic sexual people and at the lowest prices. On the other hand I think Colombian girls are probably the most sexually attractive to me. I love the accents. (There are lots of them in Miami but I've never been to Colombia.) My biggest problem is that I'm terrible at languages other than English. A big virtue of the Philippines is that they speak a really dumb-down, oversimplified version of something that's enough like English that I can understand it.

Just finished a 2 days visit to AC. From here I will go to Boracay for a more "socially approved" vacation style.

I have never submitted a report before but I think I should just in case someone might relate to me. If you check my post from Dec 2016 you will see that I have some special needs so to speak that make me probably a non-standard visitor to places like AC.

Back to the visit itself. I stayed at Queens Hotel which strikes a perfect balance for quality for the money. Last year I stayed at ABC and while the place has to be experienced once in your lifetime, I find the location problematic (far from the heart of the action). Queens is a nice, clean and safe place. The pool area is also very nice. The restaurant decent as well. Most importantly, it is very close to Walking street. I find this very important in AC. To me, the place is so horrible outside hotels and bars, that I want to minimize the distance I have to walk. In a way this place is really perfect to mix business and pleasure. Work from the computer during the day and have sex in the evening. There is really little else one can do outside the hotel and the bar.

During this visit I went to Club Atlantis, Angel Witch and Tropix (all close to Queens hotel). Atlantis is nice and big. Lots of girls and all quite good looking. I should say that I am attracted to average feminine bodies that is to say, I don't have strict limitations on taste except obesity and / or rough appearance. Compared to Soi Cowboy in Thailand (which is the only other place I visited for adult entertainment) I was surprised to find that most girls I saw here were in fact to my taste. That being said, I ended up leaving Atlantis since I did not find a good way to make eye contact with the girls. There are three levels there. The main level is crowded and noisy. The upper two levels are more relaxed but from there is difficult to make eye contact. IN fact mamasans use laser points to give clients to pinpoint the girls they may want to chat with. Judging from my last experience is better if the girl shows an interest first in talking to you since this may avoid the possibility of barfining a girl who accepts it for the money but otherwise resent being with you.

Angel Witch was kind of a letdown. It was true I was early (8 PM) but there were few girls on stage and this is the place where I saw actually about 2-3 girls with obesity problems. The final stop where I finally got to talk to and barfine the girl for the night was Tropix. I ended up spending the whole night with that girl on her own request (my original intention was just a short time) and have a nice experience.

I made it clear from the onset before barfining her that I was not going to have penetrative sex with her but everything else was on the table (see my earlier posts). This made her quite more relaxed and the evening / night went really well. I should say that there were still weird moments since at times I had on and off erections and she probably did not understood why I was not going to have regular sex. I think she even mentioned she was clean. Which means she probably thought I avoid full intercourse because I was worried of STD's. The fact of the matter, my psychological issue does not hinders erections completely. They may appear but then subside during intercourse due to anxiety. To be honest, I wished this whole game could be played in a more straightforward manner. If I could bypass the bar thing I would be more than happier. Of course, the bar serves a purpose to actually meet the person face to face but it is still too much work for just that. I would really prefer such hobby to be completely private but that's just me.

To summarize. Between Soi Cowboy and AC, I would choose AC hands down (more and better looking girls, slightly cheaper and better communication with the girls). I never tried Pattaya in Thailand. So I might try that sometime.

The bar / crypto bordello in AC seems to be drawn from a Western motif which was intended to attract the US GI's who were its first customers. It is like a modified pick-up bar at home. I believe that the word "mamasan," used for the hoe supervisor, was popularized after WWII when GI's who rotated to the PI from Japan used that term.

The East Asians, on the other hand, are used to the Geisha arrangement and its KTV derivative. They do not seem to be comfortable with the climate of posturing males in a bar competing for the favors of women. Hence a major complaint of the Korean mongers is that they prearrange for the girls to leave en masse early in the evening thus depopulating the bar for the remaining Western customers. They have successfully reworked the traditional Western motif to their benefit.
