And I have a HK lady at this moment flying to meet me in Brazil.
So, it's a matter of personal taste at any particular moment.
To really maximize the HK VIP card value you need to stay there on a Monday and / or Tuesday night and get the 70% off.
The 20% off the rest of the nights isn't too much with the increased rates. 20% the restaurant just kinda nets their markup vs other food options in the area, but could be useful if your dining with girls often.
The VIP card is only valid for 3 months. The limo is free anyway.
No girls really want to do the lap dances & never figured out what the half off surprise was.

It's a matter of personal preference. There are beautiful women in both places. Yes there more young women in Soi 6 clubs in Pattaya.
So it is easier to get beautiful young women in Pattaya. But the top HK women are every bit as good as Pattaya IMO.

I found discrimination to be equally high at SOI 6 clubs in Pattaya. I was NOT welcomed as I walked down Soi 6 like the white guys were warmly welcomed. This was very hurtful and made me resent Soi 6.
Fortunately there was far less discrimination on beach road.
I was able to have great sessions at reasonable prices from gals on beach road for about $33/ HR.

One key fact is to not only visit Pattaya. It's fun there and I've done the Beach Road thing but I found Chiang Mai appealing also and a lot more laid back. It's good to switch it up sometimes and blaze a new trail for yourself.

There is a remarkable negativity against Indians and Arabs in Thailand mongering world, specially in Pattaya and Bangkok. There is also a clear unabashed skin colorism attitude in the culture. Also some of the women can be outright nasty, like this old shaggy bar owner woman who was talking to me at her bar. I was not interested in what she was saying, she turned into a witch in an instant, took the beer I was drinking away from me and told me to get out. In pattaya and Bangkok pu--sy is like a bottle cork you find on the ground, no prudence about facking at all. I hated how the women's feet looked like, I hated the way they walked, the way they dressed, hated how the language sounded, LOL, sorry but I was miserable all the way. The only thing I liked was the food.
Also what bothered me was the large pile of European, Aussie and US American manhood clogging every bar you go to, day and night, in Pattaya. You can smell the stench of testosterone in the air. Goddamn western feminism made western men migrate like wildebeest in the East African Savannah. I wanted out, and be out quick.

The line always starts with a hearty beef noodle soup, then varies daily with braised beef, pork, fried chicken, shrimp ceviche, menudo ect worth sampling. The menudo was made with cow stomach in a tomato sauce, smelled good and beefy, tasted creamy, better than any restaurant, a good treat for authentic Mexican cuisine. Man, I have to congratulate chef Alejandro for doing a good job feeding HK's VIPs and hot bar girls. Have to get a coupon from Cascada's front desk and exchange it to a voucher at HK's front desk before 10:15 AM or HK will deny it.
If you use the $70 for 3-month VIP for 70% Cascada's room discount on Mon or Tuesday only once, you save $65, add $13 for a free Azul's breakfast, a couple free VIP drinks, like $10 Julio 70 shots or $15 Pina Colada or Sex on the Beach, not counting other perks, so far you save $98 in the first visit, the VIP card immediately pays for itself. Perks in the rest of the 3 months are just pure profit.
For guys from out of state, it pays for itself on the first day. For guys within driving distances, it's an extremely good deal that should not be missed. After paying for the card, you only have to pay $32 for a single room in Cascada to have all night of fun partying with hot HK girls, sexy, exciting entertainment, then free breakfast in the morning. Cannot beat that anywhere in the world.

And, generally speaking, the lowest strata of Western society. I gave up on PTY long ago mostly due to the unrelenting, hardcore sleaze, and all of the weird-o sexpats and assorted ho chasers. Pattaya is to Thailand as Tijuana is to Mexico, or as Tangier is to Morocco. An aberration, for lack of a better word.
Many Asian cultures believe that white is "good" and black is "bad. " In that vein, white skin is considered more beautiful than dark skin. Check out most international beauty pageants and you'll fine that "Miss Thailand" tends not to be very pretty, by Western standards, but does tend to have milky skin. If you spend enough time in Thailand (outside of Pattaya) you tend to start preferring the lighter-skinned, more Chinese ethnicity, Thais over the darker Isaan girls. At least that was my experience.
I found that the more I learned of Thai society the more parallels I found to Mexican society. That's a discussion for another thread.
Anyway, I'm not too surprised at your reaction to Pattaya. But it's really not representative of Thailand as a whole.

I'm heading back down there soon, I have a couple of friends that want to join me but one doesn't have a passport. Is it necessary to cross the border back into the states on foot? I remember when I was there in Nov it looked like people were presenting DL / ID's, not passports.

Culture influences, movement style, tone of voice, style of communication, attitude.
