Random thoughts & observations
was out last night. hung out at rumbas for a few hours. long enough to watch the parade of chicas walking in. saw many new faces to me since i was in sosua last march. word gets around fast about what sosua has to offer. that pertains to chicas as well as mongers. saw a lot of unfamiliar possibly new mongers in town too.
plenty of young **** looking chicas hanging outside of rumba and d'latins. security guys checks chicas i d 's in the front and back to make sure no **** chicas get inside. step out front and you can see all of the wannabe (in the game) **** chicas standing outside hoping some indiscriminate customer comes along. a lot of thick and just big chicas i saw in rumba's. i guess if you like them like that, you would be in heaven. the high heels many of these chicas is just too damn much. now, i prefer a chica with a modest heeled shoe or flats that still looks attractive to me.
of the many chicas i know on sight (some i have been with) , it's seems many of them live in sosua moreso, and only go back home for a few days to visit with their family, and then their back to sosua for another long stint. i'm sure many are wiring money home so they can stay in sosua. but it used to be, chicas stayed for a few days or a week in sosua, then go back home for a month or more. now it's the other way around. it seems many more spend most of their time in sosua, and only go home to visit for a short stay. i remember asking one chica last march how long she was staying in sosua this time, and she told me she just got in town, and she will be there for something like 3 weeks later. i said damn!
another observation. after coming for a few years you kinda get the idea of which people to stay away from. once the locals that work and hustle in town know you or see you enough, they pay less attention to you. and concentrate their energies on the newer or don't know any better meat in town. certain people i know who are bad news or bad intentioned may see me when i come back to town, and almost make a gesture to greet me only to remember that i am not a friend, but somebody who knows their game. like the rosetta stone guy, or the cd girls, or anybody else.
for instance, the chica that works at the burrito hut who tried to shortchange me last year, spotted me walking on the strip. i obviously looked familiar to her when she 1st spotted me, as she did to me. but we both realized in an instant that we arent aquainted by a positive experience but by a negative one. once it sunk in how she remembered me, her welcome back acknowledgement quickly turned into a look of "thats that guy that caught me trying to scam him, and he told other people about me" look.
i saw another chica i know, the one that stole my buddies toiletries back in february. she spotted me and almost spoke to me until she realized who i was and who i was associated with. i notice these chicas gf will go out of their way not to make eye contact with you, once they are schooled on someone their gf had a bad experience with or one who is related to that person.
they have a east coast west coast fiesta going on, i think it's the whole weekend. i think it was at the victorian house. probably a lot of people. i can live without that.
talked to an expat aquaintance of mine, and asked him who he banks with in the dr. he recommended that i not open any accounts in the dr. okay why? he said because you open yourself up to a greater potential of getting audited by the irs. one thing i don't need is the irs digging into my life looking for one thing and finding anything else that draws their attention. so perhaps i will give that suggestion a little more thought. at this point, i only wanted the account, so that i can leave money in a safe place the dr, instead of in my apt. this is day 2. hadn't had any new chicas. 3 of my regulars are in town, had each of them. normally would have called them to see if they were coming to sosua. that doesn't seem to be necessary anymore. it more likely they are in sosua than at home with family.
2 chicas i know were out of town. one claims she was in san cristobal, and the other in haiti. both claimed they were with their sick children. who knows? i am waiting for a request any day now.
anyway weather is great. up to 90f at times. but comfortable, especially in the shade. hopefully i make it to the playa today.
