Half-minded, I was chatting with this person, when I was asked to deposit half the money into her account to meet. She even refused to share phone number. Very cleverly, she asked to transfer 5 k into her axis bank thru IMPS which does not require the beneficiary name but just account number and IFSC code. She earnestly even shared the link to transfer from my net banking.

She offered to book a room at her own cost. Another red flag. I grew skeptical and asked for a picture other than the erotic ones posted online. Some pic that looks normal as in a salwar or jean / shirt.

I got a pic from different mail I'd and asked me to decide fast. I was not satisfied. The Sherlock Holmes in me tried to break the email I'd and spent some time searching to find it to be an act of a prankster to make quick bucks.

It is in fact a male posing as female independent. A Bengali techie in Bangalore.

Experienced seniors would know all these ways of cheating. But newbies like me please take this as a heads up.
