You sure there is no charge for taking girls to your room at Cascadas? I hear there is a $5 dollar charge at the AB hotel for each girl you take up. I remember calculating it and you'd have to take like 5 girls just to get ahead. Apparently they have those corners covered so people can't take advantage.

AB Hotel
First girl is no charge then $5 each after. Sometimes they do not charge everytime but I never tried to take a alley girl in.

I've used this routine 3 times now. The last time was about 8 months ago. I've had a girlfriend since then but that recently changed. I get the room in the afternoon. Often there are different guys working the front desk. I know this because I make it a point to be nice to these guys. Sincere thanks and respect goes a long way. It doesn’t guarantee anything, but doesn’t hurt. I’m planning a trip next month, so I’ll fill you in if anything has changed. Maybe guys on the AB side charge; I use the Cascada side exclusively.

Tacos Mejores
The street food in TJ is very good and safe. I like the tacos and sea-food cocktail stands at the corner of Nino Heroes and Coahuila, across the intersection from the sea-food restaurant La Perlas. Never had the Montezuma revenge from these food stands yet.
I’ve never heard of anyone having a problem with the street food. Eat at the stands that are busy. But if you’re still unsure about it, it isn’t hard to avoid Montezuma’s Revenge. Just take a Pepto Bismol tablet before you eat. A doctor friend refers to this as a prophylactic method. If only he knew how appropriate the terminology is!!

Yes let me know. Also what about the clean sheets and the little bag-o-stuff they give the girls before going into the room? Do you get those too? It would seem relevant for them to charge you for the clean sheets, towels, condoms and all that other stuff.

I have always eaten at the taco stands outside the bars, up until about 3 weeks ago. I ate one carne asada taco that the stand on the corner outside of CC. That's all I ate while in the zona. The next afternoon, wham. I was on the toilet, off and on, for 3 days. And things weren't completely correct for almost a week. Not fun. :(
So, now I stick to the restaurants.

Even happens in USA
I have gotten sick (diarrhea and vomiting) three times at McDonalds in the USA. Never off the Mexican food stands. Sometimes a bad batch slips through no matter where you go. It does pay to be careful even at the restaurants. Food stand vendors are careful cause they want the money not a taboo reputation. Remember here in USA the tomato scare that cause resturant to stop serving them? Turned out to be peppers from Mexico. Not always vendors fault as far as cleanliness or preparation of food.

True, but talking about something different once in a while kills the monotony of talking only about the worlds oldest proffesion. After all, this is the general Tijuana thread. I think anything dealing with the famous city besides prostitution should be allowed.
As such, I will continue the previous subject. I don't know if its the food or the chicas but practically every time I return from Tj I end up getting a cold a day later. That's probably from contact with the chicas.

Since living here for the past several months, I am amazed at the civilian girls here in TJ. I've done a lot of travelling and I can tell you that there have been many opportunities to flirt and many girls seem to be very open to an encounter.
The eye candy is everywhere here. Sure, they don't look like the girls you see spinning on the pipe, but take the make-up off them, and put them in street clothes and you have an entirely different creature.
Latinas have a natural beauty. The civilians have a lot to offer. If I were not in a relationship right now, I am certain it wouldn't take much to bed many civilians. Mexican girls are much more in touch with their femnininity than gringas, they are not as "stand-offish" as gringas, nd I love them all.
As for the sniffles, there is a lot of dust and pollen in the air here in TJ. I think it's mainly due to the lack of ground cover. Whever there is a gust, lot's of shit get's nlown into the air so if you are sensitive to that sort of thing, you stand a very good chance of coming down with something.
Street girls are outside all day and night. Sometimes it's a bit cold so it's not uncommon to have your girlie pass on something if she's not feeling well after leaning against a cold stone wall for 12 or so hours.

Fees to cross the border
Not that $5 will stop us mongering but it's the thin edge of the wedge.
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - U.S. and Mexican states are considering charging a fee for border crossings to raise money for infrastructure improvements that would reduce congestion at border posts, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said on Friday.
The news came after governors from the 10 border states met with U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff at the Border Governors Conference in Los Angeles.
"Everyone agrees that we need to expand the pipe ... which means that we can get more people across quicker, more efficiently," Schwarzenegger told reporters at a news conference. "And there is a lack of money right now ... maybe people pay a certain amount to come cross. Let's assume $5. Don't hold me to that but that would then pay the bonds so we can develop infrastructure."
Other options, Schwarzenegger said, include charging to use certain lanes of traffic at the border.
"All of this has to be thought through," he said, referring to such a plan as a "public-private partnership."
Such plans will be critical to making all kinds of infrastructure improvements throughout California in the years to come, Schwarzenegger said, adding that the state would need $500 billion of investment in infrastructure in the next 20 years.
In a joint statement the governors called for a substantial reduction in wait times to cross the border by 2013, and backed a drive by U.S. and Mexican federal agencies for funding to hire more border inspectors.
They also backed measures to curb crime in the borderlands, including human and gun trafficking.
