Your post is somewhat self contradictory.
On one hand you claim "most Farang I know" prefer Thai style and then say most Farang like ugly girls that mystifies the Thais. So the only thing "saving" you is that you don't know any of tthe Farangs who like darker skinned "ugly". But if this saves you from being self-contradictory, it seems to imply a predudice there.
Or is it really nothing to do with the looks of the girls, but their personality and the way they act.

But the "most Farang visitors prefer" seems to indicate that you and your western friends are in the minority.

Actually, I only used the 'monkey face' reference, which I swore to myself (slap on the wrist) I would never use again to counter TT's "gawky Chinese" remark. Both are bad and shouldn't be used.

You're probably right that my friends and I are in the minority, particularly if one takes into account all the Farang who come to Thailand and live here. You're also correct that a lot of guys take what they can get. I'm sure if they had access to a wider choice, they might opt for something different, if for no other reason than a desire for variety. This is evidenced by the positive remarks I always get when I post pics, which are of a different type of TG than most Farang normally have access to, and also by the envious stares and comments I get from Farang when I'm with my GF - I actually had some American come up to me on the beach in Hua Hin and ask, "where [he] could get such a beautiful girl in Thailand".

Anyway, I didn't really want to start this war again. I hold the minority view, so will always lose the argument. Sorry, if I came off smug.

Actually thats not really mystifying either. Some Thai girls like my GF have been badly burned by a terrible experience with a Thai man. Other's just despise the Thai man's self-centred-ness and lack of responsibility and often sponging money off their family female members who can't afford it, etc. Isn't it Thai girls who have to give support to the families?

Maybe your GF wants an intellegent, reliable and responsible man.

I second that statement. There is nothing like the attention that a man gets from his Thai significant other. It is not systematic, mind you, and the man needs to be delivering too in a few things that the Thai lady deems important, but nothing beats being taken care of in a way that Western men have long forgotten.

I had a talk a long time ago with a friend then living in LOS about Thai women versus Farang women. I stated that Farang women are over demanding but under delivering. He countered that at least Thai women are not under delivering… He was right.

Recently went to PPII to check out a few places that I have never been to before. One of them a friend of mine had mentioned. The place was called "The Strip". It is located on the right hand side of Patpong II as you enter from Silom Rd. Its between the Barbar Club (BDSM) and Club Electric Blue.

This is a go-go type place but with a different approach/twist. As you walk in the first thing you notice are these very tall floor to ceiling silver cylinders to the left and right. Looks a bit space age. In the middle is a small dance platform with 4-5 ladies dancing and trying their hardest to attract you.

The cylinders are essentially private (circular) rooms for lap-dancing or whatever goes. At the end of the bar is where the actual bar to sit is located. The deal here is that you select a lady or two and go private. The fee system is as follows:

Additional Lady fee: 500 baht more for hj/bj (if you want it - not required)
Full sex: up to you and her. I was quoted 2000 bht by one girl.
Beer: 120 baht

Once you enter the room the lady will go and get a "sex kit" that is a basket of paper towels, oil etc. She will quickly strip and the show is on. Like most things in life there are trade offs and compromises. There is a lot of give-and-take in a successful Thai-Farang relationship. I treat my Thai wife with respect, kindness and decency along with giving her respectability in her family's eyes and ensuring her welfare and financial security. In return she treats me like a King.

I tried doing the same with Western women and all they wanted was more and more and in return treated the dog better. At least the dog got fed regularly and occasionally got sex. While I couldn't agree more with this, I think we have somehow got into the wrong thread. Buts its no big deal.

I have not considered having a western GF or wife for the last 15 years. I'm allergic to them. But I have to admit that some European women are more appealing than US, British, Austrailian etc. I may well be blissfully unaware of their personalities.

A couple of questions, I was in the Kangaroo bar maybe 12 months ago now, you could get FS onsite for 1300 baht or barfine I think was 600 baht and 2000 for the girl has that changed.

Second as you get to the top of the stairs you have a choice, to the left of the bar is the toilet and back room. To the right was another room with a lounge in it.
