This really isn't that important...but
Some of you have asked about this..Cd. Juarez will switch to Daylight Savings Time on Sunday, April 6th..when again, the two cities will be on the same time.
On October 26th, Juarez will return to standard time..El Paso and most of the rest of the U.S. will return to standard time on November 2nd. (Arizona and parts of Indiana don't change their clocks..but then, that doesn't really effect us, does it?)
Happy Mongering

What a scumbag (Juárez 'sex tourist' sentenced to 9 years in prison)
Times staff report
A federal judge Wednesday sentenced John Dickens Armstrong, a registered sex offender in El Paso, to more than nine years in prison after he pleaded guilty to having sex with teen girls in Juárez.
Armstrong, 51, was deported from Mexico in August 2007, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents took custody of him at the Stanton Street Bridge. ICE agents obtained an arrest warrant for Armstrong after learing that Juárez police had arrested him for allegedly engaging in sexual conduct with teen girls.
In April 2007, Juárez police found Armstrong in his Juárez apartment with a 15-year-old El Paso girl, who later told authorities she engaged in sexual conduct with Armstrong in exchange for money and crack cocaine. The teen, a U.S. citizen, lived in Juárez with her grandmother at the time.
ICE special agents also learned that Armstrong solicited under-aged girls in a Juárez bar and paid them $40 to have sex with him. He was also known to offer them crack cocaine. Authorities seized items such as condoms, syringes, and pictures of Armstrong with teen-age girls as well as pornographic videotapes from his apartment.
"So-called sex tourists such as Armstrong are in for a rude awakening," said Roberto G. Medina, special agent in charge of the ICE Office of Investigations in El Paso. "ICE and its law enforcement partners on both sides of the border are vigilant to this crime. Although we cannot restore innocence to those who sexual predators have exploited and abused, we make sure that justice is served on their behalf."
Too bad they didnt let him rot in the CERESO for a bit before they deported him.
