As far as paying in advance it is almost an invitation for them to cut corners. Myself I let them see the money in a place were it would be hard for them to get it till the session was over. Like on my side of the bed. They have never taken it until I let them and it seems to work for me. For some reason this asking for payment in advance seems to happen more in MDE than in other parts of So. America.

Mayorista is not the safest area in Medellín, either. Most Paisas that I know will not go there because it is too dangerous. Not everything is as it may appear in Medellín or in Colombia.

Please be very careful in the Mayorista area.

Thanks for all the comments about the payment upfront issue. To be clear, the chicas from the Centro strip clubs want you to pay the full amount (multa + chica fee) [u]in the club[/u]. The reason is that Colombians sometimes don't pay the girls. They won't make exceptions for foreigners, unless they know & trust them.

The 1st time I spotted Evelin from Las Americas, she was sitting alone at a table. I grabbed her hand on the way back from the bathroom. She sat on my lap and was giving me sweet besos straight away. When I told her I wanted a chica for TLN, she suggested I meet her outside at closing time to avoid the multa. She never asked me for a drink. Her attitude was great! But she had to go home at 6 AM to take care of her kid, and I was looking for a girl to sleep with me.

Yesterday, Evelin was able to stay longer because her kid stays in boarding school on weekdays. She wasn't greedy and only asked for 100k TLN. It was only 10 PM, so I figured it was worth paying the 50k multa for 4 extra hours of her company.

Evelin also wanted me to pay in advance in the club. I explained that foreigners wouldn't pay in advance, but assured her she would get paid. And I said I'd give her a propina if she took good care of me. That clinched the deal.

I didn't negotiate services with Evelin. I just knew she'd be great. And she was! She earned her propina.

One thing that is not exactly working in our favor is the common use of the term 'prepago', eh? As a term, I really like it better than 'puta'. But it does seem to point to pre-payment.

I haven't run into this really at all. So of course I'll weigh in

*I really really bet that all of the girls in Mayorista-type places (and centro clubs) have had customers skip out after doing the deed. Mansion girls and the like probably don't have this issue as much. So I get it. I'm not saying I would agree to prepay, but I would probably mentally give the gal a break.

Loso & anyone else. How much is a decent (not lowest ever. Not highest ever) rate for TLN takeout from the centro strip joints?

Those places are pretty cool. But the only TLN I had from there didn't talk money in the club (I really don't know why not.) and, since she screwed my brains out above and beyond, I gave her the 150k that I gave all the mansion girls for ST. She didn't even look at it. I bet 150k is high. I know there's a 40k takeout (which we somehow skipped as well). But what do you give the girl? What did the pre-pay rejects ask?

How long have you been singing that Wimpy song ! Who do you work for ! Since you´ve been singing that song hundreds of "gringos" have been to La Mayorista, the Medellin Mansion in El Poblado was robbed and the side bars from my car were ripped off my car in Laureles along with the right side mirror ! Meanwhile I´ve been parking in La Mayorista for over a year without the slightest incident ! When was the last time you were there ?

A little bit hard for anything to happen in la Mayorista when there is a police station right up the street and police patrol the street up and down the whole night ! In addition it´s a 24/7 spot and people are out and about day and night, a little hard to "mug" somebody ! I spend many days in a week in La Mayorista with many a "gringos" and you´re the only one I´ve ever heard any fear from ! Come down and hang out with me and I´ll "protect" You if you´re really so afraid ! I don´t believe you are because you are never there, hence your opinion has no "merit" ! I believe you work or have a vested interest in one of the "high end" lodgings in El Poblado and find it necessary to trash La Mayorista !

My offer stands, come talk to me, I´m not afraid, all the guys know me, a lot of "gringos" from this post hang out with me out there ! Although they don´t feel any need for protection I´ll be glad to offer my protection to you so that you can come to "know" the real Mayorista ! It´s not El Poblado, nobody claims it is, but it´s not El Centro either, it´s a "stratus" 3, right in the middle of 1-6 !

If you are just a "high end kind of guy" and have money to burn, more power to you, but you don´t have to be casting unfounded fears about La Mayorista when it was the Medellin Mansion that got robbed, right smack in the middle of your prescious El Poblado ! If you change your mind, come to my World, La Mayorista, you might find yourself pleasently surprised ! I might even introduce you to Karolina for 25kcop instead of the 150k-200k she goes for at The Mansion, and a few other girls from the Medellin Mansion !
