Excellent post and advice about 141 hotel reservation girls.
In anticipation of my first visit to Hong Kong in September, I have been studying the 141 site on a nightly basis for quite a long time.
My conclusions concur with yours:
+TST is the place to shop.
+Hotel reservation girls are the way to go.
+Spend the extra 100 to do the deed in the comfort of your own hotel room.
Question:
Do you or anyone else have any recommendation(s) for conveniently located TST hotel that is a good value for the money?
The good, the bad, but never the ugly
Had a couple of days layover in Hong Kong, so took the opportunity to sample the bar scene. Even though the experience was mixed, I would still rate it fairly highly and definitely compares very favourably with somewhere like Dubai both in terms of choice, quality and cost. Anyway onto the specifics...
The Bad
On the first night, had a couple of beers at Dusk til Dawn as they had a late happy hour until 10pm. Must have been about 9pm and the place was virtually empty. Suitably refreshed, headed over to Laguna. It was a Sunday and the place was heaving. Had a look round and stayed for a couple of drinks. Ratio of men to women was about 50/50, but all the best looking women were hooked up, so decided to head over to Neptune. It was around 11.30pm and the place was pretty empty. Went to the bar and spotted a cute Thai girl. As the jet lag was starting to kick in, I decided to make a move, rather than do a trawl round the bar, so invited her over. Had a couple of drinks with her and as the chemistry was ok, invited her back. Arranged for LT and after a bit of gentle haggling settled on 1,000 HKD. Got her back to the hotel and had a very average time, which I put down to my jet lag.
Woke up the next morning feeling much perkier and was looking forward to round two, but oh no, she was tired and sleepy and made absolutely no response to my advances. Tried a couple of times but then got fed up and went to have a shower. By the time I was out of the shower, she was already up and half dressed. Wow from "dead to the world" to "up and at 'em" in 5 minutes pretty impressive... I was happy to just leave it and chalk it up to experience (never pay in advance, always wait until the next day) when she stunned me by asking me whether I wanted her number. Shocked I asked her why she thought I would want her number after the night we had, and she seemed genuinely upset and put out that I had rejected her. A stony and embarrassed few minutes followed, which was made worse when we took the lift down to reception only to be joined by an Australian family. Dark looks from the mother, smirks from the father and all the time the neon monger light flashed above my head....
The Good
Came back to Hong Kong the next week after a few days business in China and booked into the Metropark Wan Chai. Nice hotel, reasonably priced and very close to the action. As it was around 11pm when I checked in, dumped my bags and headed across the street to Galaxy (formerly Strawberry I believe). Lasted all of two minutes as it was dead with the kind of women you'd pass on even if offered for free, so decided to try out Fenwicks. Much better, nicely busy without being packed and a much higher calibre of women. Did a couple of trawls of the bar "looking for a friend" to check out the talent, before settling down close to the dancefloor. Failed miserably to avoid catching the eye of a fairly average Filipino, who then proceeded to grind herself against my knee asking me whether I liked it. Err well it's not the worst thing that ever happened to me, but by the same token wasn't really doing very much for me either, so as I was thinking how to extricate myself from the situation, a much cuter Filipino sat down next to me. Ahh salvation... Her first words were "you look cute, i want to get to know you" followed by a slow kiss with just a hint of tongue. Much more like it... What followed was great evening of laughs, DFK's, vodka body shots (or neck shots to be more accurate) and bump and grind on the dancefloor. Well it was great for me, but must have been a little queasy and nauseous for anyone sitting close by, so if anyone reading this was there and witnessed the spectacle, apologies. Naturally took her back to the hotel and had a fun evening and morning. Each time she invited me to finish over face, so like a perfect gentleman (more Wycleaf Jean than Beau Brummel) I happily complied with the ladies request :). Probably the perfect GFE only missing the not turning into a pizza after the event....

Couldn't agree more. I can't stand shaved. Give me natural any day! Trimmed is okay though, last girl I had there said it was too much if she didn't trim it. 37D is a little piece of heaven.
141 girls, their pictures and fur
Yes, my experience has been that these pictures on the 141/161 sites are the actual girls. Keep in mind that the photographer is rather good (and where do I apply for that job? ). If you are talking about going to the "one woman brothels", rather than the hotel route, it almost does not make a difference about the picture as you will check them out anyway. If you don’t like one, knock on the next door. Pick a 141 building that has lots of girls, not one that has just a few. That way you have flexibility and fall back if the one you wanted is busy.
You can print out an girl’s Web page to bring with you, it might even help negotiate price as you can always point to the price on the page. In some of the 141 buildings I have seen the girls tape their Web page to the door, helping you to know before you knock. But it might be better to just wing it. I find that if I bring a list, many girls are not there on that day, or are occupied. If I just wing it there are so many available you don’t notice. I think you can also access a WAP version of the 141 site from your smart phone, so you can view on the fly. But I will bet after a few minutes you will not bother with the phone and just knock on doors.
I do recommend you give 141 girls a shot. Just the experience gives a bit of a thrill. Watch for a few minutes how the locals do it. They knock, the door opens, they mumble something and move on. The girl closes the door. It is just business and no one seems irritated if a deal is not done. When he sees what he likes they both smile and he goes in.
So then you have to just do it yourself. Many girls don’t speak English, but will smile and invite you in, though a few will wave you off. Perhaps those don’t do foreigners; perhaps they don’t want the effort involved with sign language. Look for ones that have their names in English on the door.
It is a pretty cool experience all in all. Many are quite beautiful. She opens the door. Standing there in only her underwear. You think I could have her for HK$250, 300 or 400. Should I? What the hell. .
I find that the most difficult experiences are with the ones who don’t speak English but still smile and invite you in. Occasionally you get hung up negotiating the price, once the door is closed she will ask for a high price and won’t agree to lower it, but still won’t let you go. Maybe she is asking HK$500 or more, but you know the locals pay HK$300 or 400. Now the door is locked and when you try to open it she pulls you back. And look at those eyes! I have in the past stood my ground and always, eventually, gotten my price. But boy Chinese women can be tenacious. Perhaps it is better to negotiate the price while you are still standing in the hall.
The hard part is not jumping for the first one but enjoying the process a bit. It happens occasionally, especially when it is quiet, that as you wonder around checking out their doors that one will just happen open up and invite you in (note that there are video cameras everywhere and each girl has a monitor in her room – so they see you coming). I think there is an unwritten agreement among the girls not to open the door unless you knock. Not sure if it is a legal thing or they just think doing so encourages too much competition. I think the latter, and that when they do this the other girls get angry (and would I like a ticket to that cat fight). I guess it would be more sleazy if they all were just hanging out at the door, like Amsterdam. But it would make it easier. I still find knocking on the door a bit awkward myself. If when she opens the door you don’t like her you feel badly rejecting her. Then if you like her a bit, you wonder should I take her or go for what’s behind door number 3? If you move on, but then later you decided she was the one, some local has then got her (and worse you can hear her screaming behind the door – for sure she is faking right? He was such a looser. Boy she was hot! )
These girls are available mostly afternoons and evenings. They usually come in between lunch time and 3pm, staying until 11 or 12 pm. A few though live in the rooms and are there all the time. Best time to go is late afternoon when lots are there and not too many guys. But don’t expect to find good ones at 1am. If you are ambitious, you can organize your day to do one or two 141 girls in the afternoon and then go to Wanchai in the evening for longer term, and English speaking, "company" and an overnight.
141 should be part of every monger’s round the clock HK experience. There are lots of really good looking woman. Some speak English, and all those l like and maybe prefer foreigners. Many do not, but lots of them still like foreigners too. Long black hair. Perfect skin. Beautiful breasts. And for the most part with soft fur! I love that.
