Moema
I booked my first trip to Brazil including a visit to Sao Paulo in April and I'm eager to visit the different clinicas that are mentioned here. Seems many of them are in Moema. Do you guys think that area is a safe place to stay in and walkable from clinica to clinica?
Both of my trips. I have stayed in this location. First time at a hotel last trip in an airbnb, a block from the metro stop.
I always felt safe walking around.
Know that Sunday is the big day off for most girls. The king of the Boates Scandalo is NOT open Sunday. Casarao is open Sunday, though as previously discussed doesn't really start to rock until midnight. By 1 AM, to my eye, Casarao Sunday is plenty busy and crowded. Can def find a hottie. (Double check they are open Easter tho!
The other play for Sunday is Seeking Arrangement (or Brazil equivalent Meu Patricino) and have a paid date. It's a lot of work to find the right girl but I've had serious gems in both SP and Rio on Seeking.
A few CLnicas are open. Like Tangara.
Yankin, cousin to Tangara is also open Sunday.
Wierd request here; do any of you know of a grocery store or market that caters to USA expats? A friend that moved here is looking for some items not normally available in Brasil stores.
Thanks!
I've seen Sams Clubs in Sao Paulo. I think they have many locations. However I've never been inside one so I have no idea which products or brands they carry.

There's a Sam's club in Rio in Barra near Barra Shopping and the hospitals, they carry all the same as US Sam's but you need a card or a friend with a card, which is well worth it.
I've just returned from my first time in Sao Paulo, and I had a great time. Thanks to this group for reporting back your experiences here, it was good guidance for my trip and shows it's worth reading the forums to make for a good first-time trip. Also special thanks to SocratesNY and your friends for showing me around Scandallo and introducing me to a couple girls so that I wasn't as much of a sitting duck and obvious newbie on my first visit. I still made some Newbie mistakes, see below, but that's ok. Sharing a few highlights and lessons learned, to help future travelers:
Great report, thanks for the write-up.
On the topic of anonymity, I totally relate to the points you raised. But in my experience this is largely avoidable. One just has to be a little creative, and polite. Not too difficult. Remember, these places just need a number and name to plug into their system. I have been to pretty much all the top clubs in SP and never used a credit card and never provided my real personal info. The only place I had an issue was Casarao, and in that case I just walked.

Bomboa vs Casarao?
Can anyone provide an objective comparison between Casarao and Bomboa? At Casarao, I tend to always find someone gorgeous and very eager for 5/600 in a room or 1200 overnight until noon+ the next day. My only issue with Casarao is the place doesn't really get started until after 1 am.
I seem unable to find consistent information about Bomboa apart from it being worth a visit for no other reason than it has a different pace than other clubs with information about what women expect for a room or overnight at escalated fees.

Casarao is a rowdy packed bar with reasonable prices and a wide variety of clientele as a result. Sounds like you know it. It's a packed bar with a fun vibe and girls to fuck.
BomBoa is like a nice restaurant. That happens to have girls standing around ready to be fucked. It is 100%!like going to a fine dining restaurant. With side benefits. So they are nothing alike. Casarao is a standing room only place packed to the rafters. Drinks not food. BomBoa is a sit down restaurant format with excellent menu and great food. Not crowded. Not trashy. High end vibe.
That said if you want a vibe like Bomboa plus soooo much more then just go to scandallo. It's maybe 20%!more expensive and a thousand times better. Gauguin is a worthy alternative, down a notch from Scandallo but with a club vibe.

I did not session the last time I was there, but I did have the tuna sashimi that was maybe the best I have ever had in Brazil. I would go back just for that LOL! Then go to Casarao to find an attractive, blonde, big butt branca to fuck hahaha!

Sashimi in Brazil?
My rec would be Tako sushi in SP.
And in Rio, Temekaria, across from Solarium, and in Barra on Olegario Maciel.
Had so many good post prive / clinica meals with the late well loved alto bom gosto at Tako sushi!

So if Bomboa is like a restaurant, do we have to order food when we get there for a table or can we just mingle around, session first onsite then perhaps sit down for dinner?

Relax

Nobody will be pressuring you to do anything. Although, if you went in there and just sat around people might look at you funny. You def don't have to session with a girl if you don't see anyone you like. You also don't have to order any food. But, I think you would be expected to at least have a drink (alcoholic or nonalcoholic). It's all very laid back, and you're in control. I found the girls at Bomboa to be pretty non-assertive too, so not a lot of pressure to even talk to anyone if you don't want to. Just go and relax and take it all in. Maybe it will prove to be a club for you. Maybe not.

Typically there is a minimum spend / consumption requirement at these places that is equal to the entry fee. You still have to pay the entry fee even if you don't spend any in the club. So you are better off spending at least the minimum required consumption on drinks / food etc. You are not allowed to use the consumption to pay for girls or the room.
