You can go to Taylor's Steak House and get a decent meal for 30/40 bucks. At $200+ it's not about the food anymore. It just about being seen with the in-crowd. I'm not rolling in dough so I'd rather save my money for women and travel. McDonalds is underrated.

It's not really true that at 200+ it's not about the food. 200 is not much to spend in LA for a good dinner. It's pretty middle of the pack. If you drink. A place that serves a 60 dollar plate (a nice restaurant but not a blowout dinner) will typically have a 20 dollar appetizer. Add on a bottle of wine you split with a friend at 60 each. Add on reasonable tip and tax. And that's 200. It's easy to get there without dessert or coffee.

There are places in Tijuana that are easily comparable to those restaurants. Same decor same quality food same service level. But you're out the door for 75 bucks a head. I know this is not everyone's priority but if you're a food fan like I am, Tijuana becomes a dream. Because you get a 4-5 star hotel, amazing meals, sex with a beautiful girl, and you skip back across the border maybe 300 bucks lighter. For a lot of of people that's an incredible bargain. Again, priorities.

(My financial situation is indeed very fortunate. But I love love love a good deal. Tijuana does it for me every time).

The tourist and entertainment industry is shooting itself in the foot thinking raising prices get them more income, It may not.

And many of them are much much better than Tijuana.

But that's not opposite the point I'm making. I'm not saying Tijuana #1 rah rah. I'm saying its much cheaper than California, and we are blessed to have it in our backyard (for those of us who live in Southern California).

Obviously Medellin etc are better. But for us here, we have to fly to get there and all of the sudden spending 5 dollars on a meal becomes a much more expensive proposition than spending 50 dollars in Tijuana.

I drive to Tijuana 3-4 days a months and yeah its a lot more expensive than it used to be. Have been doing it for decades. I have been to Medellin 11 times in the last 4 years. Those numbers for MDE are way off. Even a broke ass lowlife shitty vaca to MDE is going to cost a lot more and no way you get a hotel, even the worse dogshit place, for $8. 89. Not even close. You might be able to eat for $16/ day if you like really crappy food on your vacation. You might get laid for $25 but she will be butt ugly and in a gross POS room.

I'm in Tijuana now and it looks like they are getting ready for you High Rollers to buy these bottles tonight. Anybody ever buy these over priced bottles at Hong Kong Club?

I do not know MDE, I went by what I saw in the website I linked. The same website I linked for you has another page where it has an interesting chart about Hotel prices. I can find the same much cheaper average prices in Brazil, Central America etc.

We agree on one thing, Tijuana is expensive. Because it is close, TJ sucks up all the visitor traffic that would have been bound for SA instead. If there was a direct flight from Cali to Colombia or other destinations, with the same cost, lots of people would have ended up there. Right now the flight down there is a pain in the neck.

It is also a lot more dangerous, especially if you don't know how to operate. And you are not going to get a hotel room for $8. 89. In Tijuana you can find a cheap hotel room and do street putas but its not as nice as staying in Cascadas or Rizo and doing hot HK girls. Not even close.

Trying to figure out when the full Miami area is open. Is it Thursday through Saturday or is it also open Sundays?
