I'll be staying in San Diego.[/QUOTE]The Shuttle starts running around 3 PM and continue until 6 AM all week. This I know others can correct me. The regularity changes depending on traffic but I never had to wait more than 15 minutes both directions.
You will face long lines specially at the San Yisdro side unless you time it right, like early mornings. The Chaverral side is better but doesn't work 24 hrs. Check the schedule.
The paid parkings are good enough so long as you don't care for the money they charge, the price slightly changes depending how near or further away from the border you are. Don't park on the streets unless you know what you are doing. A buddy of mine who is local always parks on the streets for 2 nights and never had issues. You can also park in San Diego and then uber or use the train. Of course uber is faster and comfy but you pay a lot more. The blue line train is about $2. 50 and is very reliable as far as punctuality goes and drops and pick you up right at the San Yisdro border.

There are two famous bars (with usually good bands) Brix and Ipanema. Brix has gorgeous women (almost all 7+) at high prices. They are freelancers. Its just known this is where you go. You are much better off spending a night there. You will face lines on the way out in the morning after breakfast. Use Chaparral if they are open.

The girls come in starting around 8 am and your will see them arriving through out the day with the last ones usually starting at 10 pm. If you have nothing to do I'd suggest just going to HK after your lunch. You will have plenty of girls to look at and at that point you can decide if you want to stay the night. Remember the room for a 30 min session is $40, or you can get a room for all night for $90. So if you plan on going with more than one girl you might as well get a room for the night. That gives you the option of staying and being more rested for the drive home or if your bored at around 10 pm you can still leave.
You won't be disappointed in the selection of afternoon girls to the night girls it's just a different atmosphere. For a first timer I'd definitely suggest just spending most of the day and staying the night because it gives you more options.

So I doubt it's 24/7 but might be longer depending on how busy it is or day. From past memories or things written on this board the shuttle is easy to find after you walk into Mexico as long as you enter on the San Ysidro entrance. Since I was already in Mexico I just walked towards the border and eventually found it.
As far as giving rides back to the border they have longer hours if not 24/7.

The good thing is that if yo decide to stay for a longer time in Tijuana you have nicer parts if the city to stay in or just stay in one of the nicest cities in the US that happens to be just on the other side of the border.
Others in this board have more experience in visiting a wide variety of cities in Mexico compared to myself. I'd suggest looking at TomJackin trip reports since he's been to every state in Mexico. For the most part nothing is like Tijuana. Toluca just outside CDMX has lots of clubs, MTY is popular but the clubs seem to attract trashy girls at least what I've seen on X. Most of the clubs in the Cancun area often get busted for trafficking girls so you never know if the girls are working freely or forced.
I enjoy Guadalajara because it has many clubs and they are in a nice part of the city but not as convenient as Tijuana. But the taxi or Uber is cheap that you can visit a few clubs for little or no cost. The problem is it's much more expensive to be with girls compared to Tijuana.
I was not sure if I was going to reply to people saying negative things about the Zona Norte but it is comical. Once a monger knows the game I can not imagine anywhere better. I do think there is a lot of fun in South American and Asia but the Zona Norte is great for those who know how to play the game that has been setup. You can get the girls come off site and off shift to other hotels but really depends on your relationship and rapport with the girl, and of course how much you want to pay her to encourage her.
