I dug up the band somewhere and found out through them it would still be reopening.

Anyone know if that's happened?

Punters will recommend quality ladies on those threads. The websites of the various massage parlors can also help you make a decision. Mango is one I check out often. Some websites mention whether a girl gives a good GFE (though this really depends on your chemistry and isn't something you can objectively measure). Annie's website in particular mentions which girls are good for a "long time" experience. It mentions that some girls just want to stay in all the time. I take it that those girls aren't up for really showing you the town and having fun outside your room. I'd avoid them since you're looking for a guide.

One advantage of going through mps and soapies is that you're far less likely to be ripped off. You'll pay more than some girl from the Nana parking lot, but you won't have to worry about keeping an eye on your possessions.

At Grand Palace (actually a better accommodation) they collected it from her but never called back the room to check. From the forums I understand that it is usually a practice to call back the room.

another very interesting thing is that after i picked this girl i met an old friend, so i moved to his table just talking to him and i told her that i would be back. almost half hour later when i got back, guess what she was flanked by (just by chance) not one but two of my previous girls. on the right was the girl from the previous night and on the left was the girl from my previous trip. and all of them stepped ahead almost the same time and i just stood in my tracks, shocked and not knowing how to react. i am sure you guys face it many times, but for an indian, it is difficult to get one girl to step forward imagine if three does it and you know all of them. yup, i finally regrouped bought a couple of drinks to all, had a chat and gently excused myself with the girl to another table. but i didn't particularly like the way i reacted in the first few minutes, it was a bit odd. you must understand that i am just a novice still learning the ropes. so how do you react guys?

My advice: You should not give a shit and go directly for what you want, especially as a tourist, you have no time to waste worrying about the ladies and their "Face" game.

However, It all depends also on if you are or want to be a regular at that place, then it is wise to do what you did and buy drinks so the girls don't lose face. Joke and tell them you are a butterfly (man who sleeps around) and they may even recommend you to their friends / talk nicely about you.

If you completely ignore them and one day go to see their friend, they may put on a not so good word about you (true or not) so that the friend has second thoughts about you.

Thank you very much Nic. You are right, I did feel I was the one who screwed it up in the first place, that's why I took it as lesson learnt (I m referring to the runner comment). Many Brothers here will give you different advice and as we are dealing with girls, you need to find which ones work best for you. What works for one guy may not work for everyone.

When Nic said that we all make mistakes and that's how we learn, it reminded me of my first trip to Bangkok. It was about 12 years ago and I was staying at the JW Marriott on Sukhumvit. I just arrived around midnight and headed for Nana. I went through several bars, but the girls just didn't appeal to me. Finally, I went to one on the lower level, I think it was called Obsession. The girls in this bar were really good-looking. There was one who had a beautiful face and a great body. She was also dressed very nicely. I made a deal wtih her and took her back to the hotel. She asked for payment up-front of 1, 500 baht and I gave it to her. I thought that was the standard routine. We jumped into the shower, and that's when I found out that "she" was a "he." Boy, was I burned up! I compalined about the lack of full disclosure and demanded my money back. He wouldn't give it to me, and I didn't want to resort to violence, so I just let him go. I did learn that that bar had only ladyboys, so that was something he told me, saying that I should have known. I'm still astounded at how beautiful the ladyboys were, much better looking than most of the girls I saw that night. What a shame they weren't girls!

In any case, I did learn quickly. After that incident, I became an expert in detecting ladyboys. Also, I learned never to pay upfront. I was 1, 500 baht poorer, but I was richer in knowledge and experience. Fortunately, I didn't let the experience bother me after that. I had a great time on that trip. I also met lots of beautiful girls and some of them were almost as pretty as the ladyboy.

Since that first trip, I've had great experiences and lots of good luck, but I'll never forget that first time.
