You are right and thanks for the recommendation. My point is / was that even after you recommended it, I did not realize how different each unit was. Particularly AC, bathrooms / size and quality of the water heater, with a ceiling fan / vs not, etc.
And, I had no clue how old the common areas were until I got there. And, with Dancewatchers, once I got there from NYC after nearly 22 hours, at 2 pm on a weekday, I could not find them (even though they are ones who set up my car service) for more than 30-45 minutes after I arrived. There is (except for a few rental management companies) no one on site for check-in.
And, the maid service you are referring to, includes change of sheets daily or not? For me, if the sheets are not new / laundered then I don't call that maid service.
So, my point for someone used to staying in a hotel, is that is is very different because of the above.
And, when I book a hotel via Travelocity, there is zero $ deposit and it is fully refundable up to 24 hours before arrival. And, if you want you can find hotels with full buffet breakfast included daily. So, as I said it's different.
80-90 PC of the units at VT 6 would not work for me.
But, I've found a couple that work well...and in the end what I liked most was being right next to Central Festival mall, the grocery store, food court etc.

But, since I hit reply to your post in response to Adrena, it was my error.
Of course, I know fully well that VT 6 has worked well and will work very for you. As it does for me. I just didn't think Adrena knew all the differences of the variety in VT 6 vs consistent hotel rooms, with hotel services.

Pattaya transport (usual retail price between 1000 and 1500 baht one way), hotel room (I'm sure they can find it for 1000 baht per night or less). That leaves about 4200 baht per day for the girl.
It is not super cheap, but neither is it terribly expensive. But you will have to add food and entertainment for you and your "girlfriend".
The only problem I have with these arrangements is that there is no guarantee you and your "girlfriend" will be a match and you are stuck with her for at least 3 days.
I think this is something for the very timid or the terminally lazy.

Sign up for a simple choice plan (I have the $50 plan with 2 gbs of service but with an extra 3 gbs added for $10 more). Yes there's cheaper cell plans out there but Tmobile won't charge you a penny for using texts and data on your phone. A phone call is around. 20 per minute or so. Then install LINE chat and you can keep in contact with the girls you like without having to walk into their bar and find them gone.

To each his own, but for me, there is no way I would want to subject myself to that wide a variance in quality and force myself to take a girl from each venue on the list, let alone keep repeating the list over and over again. Ever heard about Sisyphus and his troubles? I like to go where the quality leads me and to forget about the rest. I will now go down the list one by one and make some short comments on each particular venue. Feel free to agree or disagree. Some lively difference of opinion on these various honky tonk's might be interesting and informative.
Walking Street and LK Metro Go Go Bars - Yes. This is what Pattaya is all about IMHO. Many, many to choose from so there is plenty of variety for me and yet I can still maintain a decent quality level. Expensive - hell yes. I think maybe more expensive than BKK Go Go's. I wonder how pricing is affecting business. Not all of these Go Go's can be doing too well.
Ibar - Yes, if I can hold off that long. HA HA. But usually I can't wait until midnight knowing that there is nice juicy pussy to be had and the Tequila is flowing at 9 pm. But yeah, Ibar sure does have talent. I like.
Beer bars - I go very in-frequently, but once in a while. Its a quality issue. If I see a girl in passing that catches my eye and I am not going somewhere else, maybe I walk in and see what's up.
Beach Road - I like to window shop, but rarely see sufficient quality and I mean rarely.
Soi 6 - usually there is better quality than Beach Road, but not by much. I like to go to look / see from time to time, but rarely do I bite the bullet. My Soi 6 trysts have never been the highlight of one of my trips
Soi 7/8 - I make rare visits. I don't think I have been there since 2011. Quality on my last visit was not good. I mean friendly, but not good. I don't even think about those joints. Maybe I should go back and take a look, but I would not expect much.
Other Bars like Lisa Bar on 2nd road - is an interesting place where I sometimes have found real diamonds. I try to visit at least once every visit.
Pattaya Soapies - No friggin' way. The girls are no where near the quality of the BKK soapies which I love. Big waste of money IMHO.
DD - Spotty quality. They used to have a couple of girls I really liked like Maggie, but she is sadly long gone. I loved that girl. She was very good to look at and her performance was always stellar. As to threesomes: big deal. I have much better threesomes with my 2 favorite MNL girls and my 2 favorite BKK CH girls. I really like threesomes, but BOTH girls have to be quality or it does not work for me. DD does not cut it.
Pat Oilies - Most girls do not make the grade IMHO and again I find much better quality in BKK oilies which I frequent often.
Regular massage - Ok, these can be an interesting way to waste an hour on an otherwise hot afternoon if the masseuse is attractive in any way, shape, or form. I like seeing how far I can coax a regular massage girl to go. Sometimes the results are amazing.
Non Working girls - I would definitely spend more time on this variety of fauna especially in BKK if I lived in LOS, but otherwise I think it is better to stick with the professional girls. No one gets hurt or misled. Anyway, for non working girls, there is no place better than the PI. Forget Pattaya, you will do better in any mall in Manila.
What else? Oh yeah, the Pat Gentlemen Clubs like Kinnaree - I have never been, but I am curious to go and check it out on a quiet afternoon. Again, I am not expecting much in the way of quality, just friendly older girls who will do ya for a little money. Don't get me wrong, I think I might find a girl there to my liking. Not all my girls have to be 22 and hot.
Those kinky sex in the open places bars like LE Carre Blanc and company - I would go if I thought the girls were hot, but I know they are not.
The darkside bars like Mango Bar or Aqua Deymie - There are interesting possibilities. It is hit or miss, but you need a motorbike to explore the area.
So that's my take on it. I am a BKK big city kind of guy who mainly goes to Pattaya once every couple of years for a change a scenery and the opportunity to hit some different Go Go girls in some different Go Go's than the usual places I like. I wish the Pattaya massage joints were BKK quality, but they are not, so I don't waste my money with those. in summary, Pattaya is mainly Go Go central and Ibar for me with maybe a couple of smaller bars thrown in for good measure. I always have a good time though and meet some great girls.
