If you have never been to a beach in your life then would Pattaya beach seem so bad to you? I have been to the beaches of Barranquilla Colombia and those of the Maldives. I am sure if someone from Barranquilla came to Pattaya then they would think the beach was that of a refreshing paradise, whereas a person from Maldives would consider it shitty. Also, do not forget that just off the coast of Pattaya there is Coral Island that has the nice Samae beach. And Pattaya is definitely more geographically and financially easier to get to than the 12 hours of taking a taxi, plane, bus, AND boat to get to Koh Tao.

Of course normal people come to Pattaya. People from Bangkok own half the condos here and come down some weekends. How do you explain the traffic going from 20 all week long to 100 late Friday afternoon? My ex girlfriend from Bangkok is a teacher and was down here a couple of months ago for vacation and from the pictures she sent me, she was staying at a rather nice hotel. (I chose not to see her because for years I had begged her to come visit me in Pattaya and she always had excuses. So when she finally came herself on vacation that ship had sailed.)

I have another friend from Bangkok who works at a travel company and comes down sometimes to try out hotels before they recommend them to customers. My girl from Laem Chabang is next to me right now. She came here Thursday evening after work to see me and buy something for her mom at the mall. She went back for work on Friday and came back again when she got off. Today we are supposed to go to the waterpark with a bunch of her friends who will also be in town.

Even though these cases exist, you must remember that these are educated people with jobs. If a chick with a 5th grade education from bum fuck Esan was claiming to come here for vacation then I would have to doubt the veracity of that. More than likely she would be coming here in search of work, whatever type it may be. And of course, those visitors may combine pleasure and business as well. I see nothing wrong with that.

I have found most of them to be legit girls not in the p4 p business, or at least not interested in an older man for whatever reasons. The ones who I continued to talk with all hated any kind of sex talk, at least at the beginning. So one way to tell who the legit girls are is to see how they respond to sex talk. If you make a minor flirt and they get upset at you, them claiming they are NOT a bar girl and that you better shut up, then that is a good sign they are legit. If you are able to quickly ratchet up the sex talk and they don' t get upset, then that should be a good sign they are looking for money.

I'm the reverse, I'll do BKK but prefer the laid back atmosphere of Pattaya. GoGo prices are about the same but even if you have to pay a bit extra in Pattaya your breaking even on the cost of the drinks and being able to search out twice as many clubs for the same amount money in BKK. But at least you say you come down every few years, there are those who just refuse to leave the big city of BKK.

If you don't walk beach road all that often, twice a night if not more, then you won't spot the better looking talent that gets grabbed up fast. Beach road isn't loaded with them but there's always a good 5 to 10 that are promising. And there's always that one that was spectacular but got grabbed five feet before you could get there. On all of my trips I've repeated with a few beach road girls that come over in the afternoon when its too hot for a nice siesta.

Same comment for soi 6, if you don't take the time to stop and have a drink every 100 feet you'll miss the better lookers who are upstairs when you decided to walk by. I'll pick a bar with a few cute girls and scope out the other bars nearby. Make an excuse to run down the road for some food to take some quick looks.

What I hate about BKK is everything is so far apart. Want a good oil massage, hop on the bts and head down to soi 23 area. Want a good soapy, head up north via the overcrowded mrt line, hit a disco head to one of the many scattered all over. With Pattaya you can do gogo's, disco's, massage's, beer bars for a quick ten baht ride down the road.

I am visiting Pattaya for the first time, and got a chance to walk around Walking Street from 8 PM or so. I've benefited from the reports of others, so here's my short contribution. Hopefully some will find it to be of help.

General Observations:

1) 8 PM is too early for much action, and there are thousands of Chinese tourists walking around in groups with their tour leaders holding identifiable flags. A bit weird, and I also saw a few families with kids walking around.

2) A few good places to eat, and I ended up at one of the seafood places, and had lobster, quite good!

3) Tried the side bars with cheap beer, coconut juice, etc.

Bars:

1) Baccara had a nice lineup of about 100 girls on two floors, mostly Asian customers. I was able to get in because I'm Asian, but saw hardly any farangs, Indians, or other nationalities. Half of the girls are "hostesses" who can be bar-fined but do not dance. I stayed around for 30 min just observing, got a drink, and then visiting other bars, but eventually came back to Baccara as the lineup was so good. I didn't know the process of how to go about bar-fining someone, but saw what others were doing (basically calling out their number or pointing to them to a waitress or waiter). One of the hostesses with her friend came by, and flirted around with me. Got them a drink each, and then bar-fined the quieter one who looked a bit younger than the other girl, who was talkative and fun-going. In retrospect, I probably should have gone with the chatting talkative one, but more on that later. So I agreed to the bar-fine of 1000 bhats and ST for 2000 bhats. We go to a ST hotel down the road, which was 390 bhats. This girl changed into regular clothes, and we took off for the ST-hotel in the corner. Decent room and all. The girl was quite a bit shorter than her appearance, no more than 4 ft 10 in. She probably had very high heels, and I was sitting down so didn't notice. Anyway, the session left a lot to be desired. She was ticklish even to minimal kissing on the neck, and obviously no mouth kissing. BJ was covered, and only lasted a minute or two. Covered FS was a bit lame, as she claimed I was "too big" LOL. Tried a few standard positions and I finished with a self-HJ and she was careful I shot into the towel rather than mess up the bed. No chance of CIM, COF, or COT. Oddly, she had the gall to ask for a tip afterward? I politely refused. She took off back to Bacarat and I headed to Insomnia.

2) Insomnia was completely packed by now, they opened at 10 PM. A few lookers, high guy to girl ratio, and there is a good mix of variety here, but I had a hard time figuring out who was working and who is available. The music was blasting so didn't get a chance to talk to any girls in particular. The ones that made eye contact were not to my liking, and the ones I were interested in never made eye contact. A good place for diversity, as I saw people of all different colors.

3) Walked in and out of Airport Bar, Alcatraz, and a couple of others. Much less crowded that Bacarat, decent atmosphere but not to my liking. I still sat for a few minutes and bought a beer at each place.

4) Sensations Bar was another popular one, and I ended my night visiting with another short cute Thai girl who made good eye contact and I subsequently asked her to visit for a drink. Good vibe, playful attitude, although her English is almost non-existent. She tried to use some translation app, but not really that helpful. But she was a cutie, natural be's, nice slim body, and still quite short, maybe a tad over 5 feet. Ironically, she takes me to the same ST hotel, where the two young girls working at the counter was just giggling over how I was just there. Paid my $390 plus $20 for a condom, and off we went on the same routine. This was a much better experience, as she initiated some kissing which led to some more DFK. She was hoping that I was "not too big" and then after some foreplay and junior being at full staff, again she said I was "very big" - LOL. If nothing else, visiting Pattaya is a good ego boost! Lots more interaction here, and I was able to get her relaxed and enjoying the session, as she opened up quite a bit and was compelely wet and moaning the whole time we were going at it in MISH, then CG, then doggie, and back to MISH where I finished in the cover. This was past midnight. I barfined her at 1000 and she initially asked for $2000ST. Friendly girl, has a couple of non-distracting tattoos on her forearm and shoulder, otherwise a cutie, about a 7.5 on both body and face. We were both hungry so I offered to take her to dinner, which she gladly accepted.

A fun overall experience. Pattaya is a mongering heaven, and the only limitations are your wallet and how many shots you can get off in a night.

I walked by this place many times when it was closed for business. And it looks pretty big. I'd be really surprised if it didn't have AC.

He has posted many times singing its praises as well. He just prefers BKK.

Like you I like BKK but prefer Patts. Mostly because the scene is more concentrated, a bit cheaper, and (most importantly) because of Ibar / Insomnia (my bread and butter). There is nothing really like it in BKK, where FL disco girls are older, less attractive, and more expensive.

I like BKK for the vibrant city, food, and shopping. Also the possibility of hooking up with a non-pro via the internet. Just to mix things up. In these things it has Pattaya beat.

Good morning Breadman, allow me to set the record straight. I had no intention in my previous post to rip on Pattaya. I think Pattaya is still a pretty amazing place. But some destination has to be numero uno and for me that destination is BKK. My critique, if you want to call it that, is that Pattaya is mainly Go Go land and it lacks the variety and depth that BKK offers up with very high quality Soapies, great afternoon oily massage options, high end G-Clubs, and some of my favorite Go Go's. That said, I readily concur that some of the best Go Go's in the world are located in Pattaya and over many trips I have pulled amazing talent from What's Up, Sensations, Sapphire, Airport, Happy, Pepperment, and Super Girl. I also like Ibar. BKK falls short on anything comparable to Ibar. So despite all its faults, I think Walking Street and LK Metro Pattaya are very impressive red lights and Pattaya has a lot to offer. Its too bad about the sea water quality.

I want to check out Kinnaree. BBoi's suggestions were very useful. And I always like to take a stroll up and down the 6 between 5:30 and 6:30 pm. Sadly I only occasionally find some girl of interest. I get your suggestion, but it does not fit into my style of punting. I would be happy to spend more time on the 6 and become more immersed in the local bar culture if the bars sold something that is available in Amsterdam Coffee shops. 555. But I don't start drinking until later on (Tequila only) when I am with my love interest of the night. That is just my style.

I thought long and hard about taking a side trip down to Pattaya on my next trip. I am due to go back to Pat. Fall 2015, about a year ago, was my last visit and I had a great time, but for my next trip I opted instead for 4 plus weeks in BKK interspersed with a visa run to Phnom Penh. Overall I think Pattaya is a much better sporting town than Phnom, but I do enjoy the differences between Thai and Cambodia girls. Khmer girls can be quite fetching and lovely. I have already alerted my favorite 104 street hostess girl of my impending visit and she says she is looking forward to taking good care of me. I am looking forward to that too.

I will also be heading to Jakarta and Manila for my annual 2 week side trips in each city. Neither of these 2 major Asian megalopolises are as user friendly or as easy to navigate as BKK. The bars and bordellos in Jakarta, for example, are spread far apart. There is no Sukhumvit equivalent bar crawling area and it can take up to an hour to taxi from one amazing bordello to a great FL pick up bar to another amazing bordello, but the girls are so Oh La La, that it is worth the trouble and inconvenience to me. So my point here is that LOS is still #1 despite everything. There is just no place better in all of Asia taking everything into consideration like girls (of course), ease of access, hotel accommodations, food, relative safety, and culture, but other Asian destinations offer a lot too and I love the diversity. Next trip, the one after this one, I will return to Pattaya. I am looking forward to it.
