From reading this thread it sounds like the massage places in Centro are like in office buildings, can someone describe the buildings and are they hard to locate, especially speaking no Portuguese?
I'm worried I'll go there and not be able to find them.
Also what's the definition of a trash price?

The few people here who actually speak Portuguese and over the years have spent months in Rio see the city and its venues from a totally different perspective. For example, I have no idea what all this discussion is about girl-friendly hotels, because I have never had an issue with bringing in different girls at multiple hotels around Rio. Others, whom have had issues can better address it.
As for your girl on the beach, that is how it used to be done. Particularly when Help was still around. A girl might be from the North zone or even from somewhere else in Brazil. She doesn't have a place to stay so is looking to hook up with a gringo. She can take shower, if you are nice, maybe get something to eat, make some money and get a few hours sleep.

The only thing that is asked is don't act like a stupid gringo, roaming the halls of the buildings in packs and loudly knocking on doors.

Just from these links the Portuguese challenged should have picked up a couple of key words: massagista, terapeutas. Search engines are your friends.

Fifteen-twenty years ago, guys would hire guides to take them to Centro. Without a smartphone and very limited Portuguese, I would tell a cab driver where I wanted to go. When the driver got lost in Centro, I had sense enough to get out and know the direction I was heading.
Smartphones, the Metro and Uber does mean there are no excuses.

What if we just don't like going downtown and walking from building to building or from floor to floor, up and down the stairs, in the elevator and out looking for that diamond or gem that you might see once in a while. I seen guys spend all day going from place to place then at the end of the day backtrack to screw the one that appealed to them. I didn't bother going to Centro because of several reasons, the most important would be that I was busy with sightseeing during the day and I thought that the prives in Centro wouldn't offer me anything better than what's available in Eden Spa or Delirio.
If you are saying that Bel Prazer, or whatever the top prive is called, provides higher quality garotas, then I will be there. If it is simply about saving 40 reais / fuck then its not worth it for me as a tourist.

Was always happy with the available fare in and around Copacabana inclusive of occasional trips downtown to 4 X 4. With no 4 X 4 now I may consider widening my horizons exploring centro.

Until you get to centro the best ones got already 10 or more local dicks inside.
