Which hotel has the best pool and gym in Jakarta?
Has anyone stayed at this hotel MaxOneHotels.com at Platinum Hayam Wuruk? I plan to do a 2-month stay. There is also Yuan Garden hotel near Classic https://www.google.com/maps/place/YUAN+GARDEN+Pasar+Baru / at -6. 1630653,106. 8297251,17 z / data=!3 m1!4 b1!4 m10!3 m9!1 s0 x2 e69 f5 c4 fbd59 f49:0 xf998 bdd3135459 f4!5 m3!1 s2024-06-23!4 m1!1 i2!8 m2!3 d-6. 1630706!4 d106.8323!16's%2 Fg%2 F11 f1595 vv5?entry=ttu.
MaxOneHotels at Platinum Hayam Wuruk
I considered doing a trial here for 1 night while I was staying next door at Harris Vertu Harmoni. Rooms are small but it's a quarter of the price than Harris Vertu Harmoni. What put me off of this hotel was that there is no room safe and that is pretty important to me especially if you are going to bring girls to your room.
Positives. It is beside Harris Vertu so you get the benefits of the HXC mall which has good places for food and a nice spacious Indomaret inside. Attached to MaxOne is a pretty decent Starbucks. It's dirt cheap and for the most part reviews are good.
Negatives. In addition to the lack of a safe, a huge negative now is the construction right where the hotel is. No matter where you go whether it be Classic, Travel, KI, etc you are stuck in up to 10 minutes traffic just to go 3 blocks on that stretch of Hayum Wuruk to Juanda. My buddies were all staying at Holiday Inn Gajah Mada so it was minimum 20 minutes just to go meet them as you had to go south on Hayum Wuruk then east on Juanda, U-turn to go west on Juanda, only to be stuck in another log jam to go north on Gajah Mada. Got to be so frustrating I left Harris Vertu Harmoni to try other hotels further north. Ibis Styles in Gajah Mada Plaza, Novotel, Holiday Inn.
If you don't mind sitting in a bit of traffic around the time you want to head out and don't need a safe, then I would guess Maxone is a good choice. Your other budget hotel to consider right there is Yello Hotel Harmoni attached to Harris Vertu. I've stayed there too and it's newish and clean. It's chaotic on weekends though as they have conventions. 80% of the clients are people in their early 20's. There was some cosplay convention when I was there.
Best hotels within walking distance to Classic are Redtop and Movenpick (beside Emporium) on Percenogan but I think both aren't in the price range you're seeking.
Maybe helpful advice? I would never commit to a 2 month stay anywhere especially in north Jakarta where rooms are for the most part affordable and not sold out. Check a few places out and pick what works best for you on week 2.

I went to airbnb.com to try to find some 2-month booking in the area near Classic but so far I haven't found any modern / nice places. I try to keep my lodging budget to around USD1,500 per month. Therefore, I will just book hotel and figure out. I am also looking at the Santika Premiere Hayam Wuruk since it looks very modern.
You won't find a decent Airbnb near classic. Look around Jakarta Central. They got some decent Airbnb around there. If you are planning on outcalls to your Airbnb, make sure to book it for 2.
Santika is a very good hotel within lower price range. Another good hotel is Novotel.

I found some decent ones way up north with ocean view near Ancol Beach. These maybe ok if 1001 is the main destination.

Hello everybody.
Before a report: Gran G7 Pasar Baru, at 1 Km from Classic, have a nice atmosphere, welcome staff, a swimming pool clean but a little hot, and amazing breakfasts. Price around 400 k a night for double room. No refrigerator in the room, air conditioner OK. Noise for morning Islamic sing at 5 am, for the rest silent. Nice terrace a nice lobby. Massage available.
The question: do you know a hotel like this, so swimming pool and 400 k price (or less) near a more beautiful area of Jakarta? From where is possibile arrive to Classic by taxy, but in better area. Also with no breakfast is OK.
I passed by Holiday Inn several times but never checked it out. Do those regular rooms comes with a fridge? Novotel had a fridge but I don't have the privacy there due two couple of staff I have dated on a 2 different occasions.
Also, anyone ever stayed Santika Megacity Bekasi?

They have the mini-fridge which sits under the table or counter.
Did the Novotel have a bigger fridge than the Mini?

Thanks for the info on Holiday Inn. Seems like lots are staying there from this forum. I will have to book the Suite room category to have a fridge then.
Another hotel I prefer is Ascot but double the price but comes with all the amenities of an apartment. Pretty nice and clean setup.
Slightly larger than those mini fridge that sits under the table.
Did the Novotel have a bigger fridge than the Mini?
No, not even in the largest Novotel room. You have to book the rooms with the kitchenette for a full size fridge at Holiday Inn. I didn't stay in the regular rooms at either but will try both next time just to see. I prefer larger rooms. I'm typing that now while in a 15 sqm room in Tokyo!

Hi. I look for Holiday Inn in Jakarta and there are two of it.
What Holiday Inn are you speaking about?
Holiday Inn Express, or Holiday Inn Suites?
In case is Holiday Inn express, do you confirm there is gim but not swimming pool?
Holiday Inn Suites result have swimming pool too.
What are the ones with a lot people going because it is good ones?
Another question, thanks. The Holiday inI you are speaking is at walking distace (and nice path) to a mall where is possibile to walk?
