So if she has no bank account will be as hard as getting a US visa. That being said, I'm looking for the next Mecca and it is my belief that it is either Columbia or Venezuela. Both have their advantages and their champions but what I'm trying to decipher is which one is more cost advantageous at the present time. I have not been to either since 2002 and want to get some intel from those who know.

Therefore, I'm not interested in hearing just the opinion of the guy who can get a $5 lay because he can speak Spanish like Cervantes. Nor am I interested in hearing about high roller who has no problem falling into town spending $250/night for his hotel and $200/hr with his chica. It takes all kinds and I'm not trying to start a fight, but that is a different discussion. C'mon, I know where I can get a $10 BJ tonight but that doesn't mean I want it.

I see a reality and am trying to adjust for it. There are 47,000 reports on this site about Brazil, Argentina is under-represented due to their other site. That leaves Columbia as the 2nd highest but having visited both and understanding the regime, I feel that Venezuela is the next frontier, economy, proximity, culture to be the next great monger habitat. I feel that Argentina is way too stable to be a real bargain the way that Cuba and Rio used to B.

My situation is exactly the same a yours, but only work 50hr a week. I don't travel as often and prefer quality over quantity: I don't do the super low end but I do try to pay reasonable prices, keeping it sane for future mongers.

My $02. Colombia is great, but it is far from an "up and cumming" mecca: it has already arrived, for better or worse, in the mongering world. Those of us who have gone there for the past few years have been able to take advantage of the poor economic situation in CO, but it too is stabilizing (that being said, there will always be boatload of poor but beautiful women ready, willing and able). It's still peaking, IMO, though there's always the guy. You know. The complainer or the reminiscer: "oh man, it it shot here, the Hawaiian shirt and shorts dudes have spoiled it all, I remember the good ol' days when I could get a 9 for 200 pesos por TLN". I want to go back: Colombianas, despite their street-smart attitudes sometimes, have that carinosa attitude that is addictive.

I haven't been to Venezuela and I want to go. I'm close with some Venezuelan ex-pats, and though I'm sure that their POV is colored by their hatred for Chavez, the do say that the crime situation is pretty bad. I've also heard that the clubs in Santa Margharita islands were closed, and the anti-American sentiment among some of the faithful runs high. But as the investment saying goes, "buy with the cannons and sell with the bugles", and that applies to mongerdom also. But the regulars in the VZ forums would know better, and of course, I defer to Ricker, who has been there a lot. The movie "El Secuestro Express" is not exactly a rose for VZ tourism either.

I don't have the time to respond in depth so here's one quick opinion regarding the attractiveness of Venezuela.

I don't see it for VZ and here's why:

1) Price. Forgive if I'm wrong, but I think general pricing in VZ has always been higher than Colombia.

2) Skyrocketing petty and serious crime.

3) Tense social, economic situation. Inflation, water & electricity shortages & blackouts, some food scarcity, political unrest, etc, etc.

4) If you're a USA citizen, the added hassle or threat of unfriendly customs and police officials.

There's more. Those are the main ones that come to mind.

Unless you're evaluating it under the same senario as for Brazil. That is, once Chavez goes or is thrown out, all hell will break loose and hot VZ pussy will be available at fire sale prices. Hard to judge considering hyper-inflation would likely also be in play.

Anyone who likes, enjoys, or needs a little edge to his experiences shouldn't be discouraged from going. Besides, once the present regime is out, you'll have missed the chance to have experienced Venezuela in its present incarnation. And, isn't having experiences what its all about? As for the women -- they haven't gone anywhere just because of politics.

I've been to quite a few countries in Central and So. America (CR, Panama, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Peru etc.) and can compare a few things. Medellin has the best sex scene of them all.

Availability day and nite, volume of chicas, selection and looks, and most important price.

In my opinion you can't get it all in one place.

I wish Medellin had better food/restaurant choices and a more cosmopolitan/ sophisticated atmosphere like in Buenos Aires.

I wish there was better tourist, travel choices like in Peru and Brazil.
