I also left Jakarta a week ago and was very happy with all the nice people I came to meet there, some through this site and otherwise, too many to mention by name but all fantastic people, each one in his own way.

I will definitely count the days to get back as I will be back some day. I thank all of you bro's for the wonderful times we shared together.

Keep the monguering alive, Jakarta is in my modest opinion the best place on earth for that, and please report back to keep us afloat ... and alive ...

As someone who grew up in the New York City area, I had to chuckle at the latest story about the governor of New York, Eliot Spitzer, in particular that he paid the prostitute U.S. $4,300 plus unlimited access to the room's minibar for 2 1/2 hours of sex in a hotel room with him.

Recently with a friend visited this newly opened place at Mangga Dua area. This is in the block opposite the Le Granduer Hotel. Somewhere behind the HSBC. The reception girls looked at as if we were coming for a free service, no greeting. Changed and went up. The staff (there is a chinese supervisor) don't seem to know what courtesys are. I choose a number which was available on the board but had to wait a good 15 minutes and on re-checking I was told she is busy. Anyway finally proceeded to the massage area. The whole place is so noisy and did not a get a good massage too. Would not recommend this place.

In an idle moment, I calculated that:

- if Spitzer had spent the entire year of 2007 in Jakarta

- he could have had two sessions per week at an MP in Kota, paying the usual hour rate of 200,000 or 250,000 rupiah plus a 50,000 rupiah tip

- for all 52 weeks of the year

- it still would have cost less than US $4,300 at the current exchange rate.

Plus no minibar expenses!

Usually upstairs at around midnite on a Saturday. Sometimes on a Friday, they issue water pistols so you can squirt them and make the tee shirts see through, it usually degenerates into a semi naked show. If you want more just go into the VIP room and hang around for a while usually two or three girls will be doing a full naked show if someone has thrown 100K at them. Quality can be so so.

That could happen because they are still in Grand launching / lots of discount for the room rate or beverages...eventhough I haven't gone here.

any info is appreciated[/QUOTE]If you go to Malioboro there is regular topless dancing at 7, 9, 11, 1. Around 6 and 8 they also do topless dancing in the Suana (pool) area. Only thing is one Tequilla shot costs 50k which they will market effectively. So you have to control that.
