Thursday night is probably the best for Scandello and you would have been blown away especially since it was your first time. That's usually when I go so been there, done that. My next arrival to Sampa later this year will be on a Thursday morning. You know where I will be later that evening!
It's hard to even describe how awesome this trip was. As per my recent playbook, I'the planned a mix of the girl buffet and time with a GF (Nat) whom I really enjoy and care about. And that worked perfectly, with the GF-time being the highlight by far.

The difference between prior reports and your experience at Casarao is the massive patio / club area is new downstairs in Nov or Dec. This more than doubles the size of the club. And the girl quality shot up too as it's moved up market some. As per my report, more scams and CBJ at Casarao than Scan but if u know how to navigate it it is a great venue and waaaay better than before. Anyone who has been before needs to go again. I believe the big area is only open Wed-Sat.
Also suggest you try Gauguin. For classiness it's a step up from Casarao but not quite Scandallo. And the live band was super good but beware if you don't like loud it is the loudest of the three primary clubs. Gauguin also has the distinction of being in the southwest part of the city which can be handy if you stay in that part of town.

But, I did not find it to be an optimal time for mongering at night outside of Scandallo and Casarao. Now, daytime mongering at the clinicas might be a different story, but I'm mostly a nighttime guy, so maybe someone else can weigh in on the clinicas during Carnaval versus other times of the year.
A couple of years back I was in SP for 6 weeks which included Carnival week. I think I posted a trip report on it. One of my main observations was that Carnival SP is no big deal unless one seeks it out. There might have been a few less boate girls around than the week preceding or the week after Carnival, but the difference was hardly noticeable since there were still plenty of attractive girls about. I also had my 2 favorite repeat Scandallo girls to keep me happy, so I had a great time during Carnival week and I recommend flying down.
P.S. SP hotel prices are lower during Carnival.

I want to add Gauguin to the "top" list and in fact would put Bomboa down a bit for its petite size and odd restaurant layout. With the big expansion at Casarao and commensurate girl upgrade my ranking would go:
