The recipe for a successful visit is a VIP card HK or Tropical, a room at Cascadas or Rizo for a discounted price on Monday or Tuesday. Three or four well known regular girls to choose from who know what the client needs. Also a 20% discount on dinner at Azul or Sienda Norte with VIP card. I don't need anything more and I can be in Tijuana every week.

" -- This is what YOU are thinking but not necessarily what SHE is thinking. A lot of guys psych themselves out thinking that "If I don't pay her what she could make in HK she's going to dump me. " Girls think emotionally, not logically, so I would say its not as cut and dried as this.
How much money you actually need to spend depends on the girl and her mentality. Remember that many of the girls don't like working at HK. Sleeping with random dudes is not what most women like, obviously. Also, they are not even guaranteed any money when they go there. Some girls stand there all night without a single client. Thus, if you can offer them a consistent source of financial support, and they like being with you, you don't really have to compete with what they could "potentially" make at HK.
Now, if you want exclusivity, you are going to have to pay more, and probably you are going to have to support her, because you are essentially cutting off her other sources of income. Unless you expect her to live in the streets while waiting for you to come around every once and a while!
The bottom line is finding a good deal. If it works for you and for the girl, I say go for it.
I would say that the girls who are working all the time tend not to be good deals for extra curricular activities. Their tolerance for this life is high so that, yes, they may try to make you compete with HK in terms of dollar amounts. SP and Rio are the popular places.
SP has way more clubs and girls and very easy to navigate honestly. Just google maps the clubs and take the uber there easy.
Its very safe and not very hard to get around.
Just need cell service and your debit card to take money out of an ATM and credit card.
Rio is more fun with beaches and hikes and stuff.
Not as many girls and clubs but still a good amount.
Also easy to find the big clubs.
