Cashback credit / debit cards
Does anyone know any cashback credit / debit cards that can be used in those establishments such as classic / travel /1001?
I was thinking of using the trading212 card, also do I presume contactless payment is available?
(Sorry if this is a repost).
So you're saying there are two different metro systems, one above ground and a new one below ground and they share the same stations?
Because OP said the stations I had mentioned previously (mangga besar and Sawah Besar) showed as "under construction. "
If that is the case that sounds pretty cool. Will you be able to transfer between the two different train systems, at the stations where they overlap?
Gabacho.
The big construction zone in the middle of Hayam Waruk (and strangely enough not seemingly replacing the cess pool that's apparently for drainage) is where those stations will be, as an extension of the MRT starting at the end of Jl Fatmawati and ending next to Plaza Indonesia. This has been operating for about 4 years or so now. There is also the elevated 'light rail' running up / down Rasuna Said and then following the tollway southward 'running' for a few years now. Featuring the slowest corner in the history of mankind when it started - 5 minutes to go round it. Yes, I timed it from the windows of my hotel.
Just out of curiosity. Have you ventured further south in Jakarta than Monas? As these should be apparent if you have. The amount of overpasses for roads, busways and the trains mentioned above built in the last decade is a major step change in traffic flow to the Jakarta of old. By old, I mean ten years or so back. 3 hours to get from Kunigan to Senayan was basically BAU. I was shocked to experience free flowing traffic down Rasuna Said a few years ago all day everyday. It used to BE a literal parking lot.
For reference, the Mangga Besar area (or let's just summarise it as 'Stadium') used to be the end of the night destination after bar / club crawling in the South, or as a quick stopover to a venue for a bit of play late afternoon / early evening. Pretty much all those are gone, leaving Travel / Classic / Lokasari area street in the North and CJs / BATS in the South (at a pinch, My Bar at Faletan too though more as a living museum piece now) as the last remaining elements of a by gone era. The good ol' days of splurging big time on a SilverBird Toyota Crown all night parked at call for you and your 'guests' for about 10 USD as you bounced between 5 or so venues per night. And then hit Stadium. Ah, memories. Though some can still be made, maybe not as frequently (and certainly not as cheaply) as possible in the naughties.
Hmm, the naughties. I'm referring to the decade, though it equally applies to the girls met back then!
