Just trying to get a feel for the place (hotels I can price off the internet) and also I appreciate any info!

Now in America 4 out of 5 businesses will fail in the first 5 years, possibly more like 9 out of 10 will fail. Any different in Philippines? I am wondering where the graveyard is located for all the foreigner business owners?
Puss is always cheaper in bum fxck, Egypt anywhere in the world. For value minded try southern Sudan. Just add in cost of time and transportation.

And he had a point.
If you can take a two-hour bus ride from Manila to AC, shouldn't you be able to swing a two-hour bus ride to someplace else in the PI? For adventurous mongers, the question will always be where, not what other nationalities are punting there or if they have a convenient Hooters location.

Most of the guys who do this use 20 php notes and don't throw enough for any one girl to make a substantial amount of money. Most of the girls get one or two 20 php notes.

Now back in LOS Angeles and already thinking of how and when to plan my next trip.
Already received many many texts from the girls. Many sweethearts I have met this past month and hope to get back before the end of this year.

It seems that most mongers are unaware that Fields Avenue and Perimeter Rd are just small parts of the Angeles City sex industry. Area 51, or simply Area to locals, once had over 1,000 brothels in Barangay Sta. Teresita. Area is located approximately 4 kilometers from Fields Ave and serviced poor Filipino men who came by the truckloads from as far north as Tarlac and as far south as Macabebe and Apalit. Filipino fathers and uncles brought their sons and nephews to Area to lose their virginity for P200 or 4 cans of sardines. Foreigners did not venture into Area 51 to make it rain pesos or pay double the rates because the NPA housed insurgents and communist activists there.
Today, Area is in decline with less than 10 brothels remaining. One of Area's former barangay captains attributed the decline to competition from Fields Ave. Ironically, Fields has also seen better days as bars have taken a hit from disruptive technologies like affordable smartphones, cheap internet access, and social networking apps. More girls are working the disco scene. Angeles City has entered the Age of the Freelancer.

In Philippines, one must additionally include corruption etc. , that brings the ratio to about 95:5. Yes, the law in Philippines is geared against Foreigners. Foreigners are not allowed to directly own retail outlets, houses or land. The legal system is very weak and slow. For an impartial view, without the usual ignorant emotional arguments, check the World Bank survey on "Ease of Doing Business". Malaysia and Thailand have far better World bank ratings. Before opening a "business" think very, very hard about it.

But to some mongers it may be a whole lot of money.

I seriously doubt if the businesses ever got to the point where the law or corruption (or shot and killed noted by CM) affected it prior to closing.

Foreigners who start businesses here may be highly qualified in their own countries, or in other countries in which the rules are relatively straightforward, corruption is minimal, and the playing field is level. None of those preconditions exist here, and the reason many otherwise qualified foreigners fail is that they don't know the rules, don't have appropriate connections, and given the former, have no idea how to navigate in this country. The only foreigners I know who have started successful businesses are those who have been here for quite a while and who understand most of the informal rules. Please note that the most successful business owner in Angeles–a guy who probably owns half the city–is a European.
