I have been inside very flimsy wooden dwellings in the DR that have wooden partitions between rooms that don't go all the way to the top and flimsy curtains instead of doors. Just total fire traps when people are using candles to move around after dark. I am surprised not to see more house fires in the DR.

But, as you say, you have to be careful tarring them all with the same brush if the relationship is otherwise OK.

These things happen with regularity down there, so it's natural for the chicas to exploit them. It's like us calling in sick, with the "flue" or a bad "cold".

Some random requests from my GF:

Reluctant to post this trip report given all the "ball busting" lately on the forum but here goes. Arrived last Wednesday staying at my home away from home, Casa Cayena. I met this one last week at the Taxi stand and took her to Baileys where I conduct my interviews before proceeding further. I didn't know it but this one turned out to be from Haiti and told me a lot of times people think she is Dominican. I've had 3 real novias in DR non were putas and I am a big fat Gringo. 1 was a hairdresser, I met her walking through a gas staion while I was buying gas she went to get lunch.
