So far I only made it to Campo once. I will get again there today and then back to sex prison tomorrow.

I stayed at Marriott using points. Probably wouldn't stay there w / o points. Pricey for out-dated rooms. Very convenient though. 15-20 minutes from Campo, secure parking. I am sure there are cheaper options to be found in prior posts.

I got the Clarion for around $85 a night. Location and parking are good. The hotel is basic and the breakfast barely worth it. I should have taken my favorite, the Kura Hulanda for $100 a night instead. I almost took the Hilton for $120 only because I have mid tier reward status and would have been upgraded, received free breakfast and free internet. Without those perks the Hilton would be an expensive proposition.

Be careful of some of the really low priced hotels like the Wave. They are more like upscale hostels, which could be fine but there may not be any convenient parking. You will want a car in Curacao.

Anyone trying to park downtown Otrabanda or Punda will discover that all parking is now metered. It comes to a little over a dollar per hour. I believe there is a parking garage at the new Renaissance Hotel and Shopping Mall. I think that you can park there free if you get a ticket validated in the hotel or casino. I am not sure as I just used the Kura Hulanda parking lot. The gate keeper never asks anything but just opens the gate and waves.
