Only semi reliable time is probably after 7 pm to 2 am. I would say in this time frame, 90% of the time it's under an hour. Remember if your a senior looking person you can go to the senior line 3 feet to the right and that's very quick.

Either get a GE / Sentri card or cross in Otay.

For those who have global entry, where does the cab drop you off?

How do you navigate walking past everyone else who is in line who may not be aware of what global entry is?

The cab drops you off at PedEast / San Ysidro in the same place regardless of whether you have global entry or not. It's basically right behind the bridge over the traffic lanes, about 200 feet from where you enter Mexico.

If you have Global Entry / Sentri, just stay to the right of the line and walk to the front where the metal gates are, show your card to pass the gates, then continue staying all the way to the right until you see the Sentri entrance to the main customs building. It's pretty easy now since you're mostly walking past storefronts that are always kept clear and for all anybody knows you're headed to one of the little stores or farmacias next to the border rather than line-cutting.

In reality, though, all the awkwardness is just in your head: 95% of the people in line are in line all the time and know all about Sentri access. I've never gotten nasty or confused looks from anybody, even at the old PedWest crossing where you often had to ask people to get out of your way so that you could pass them.

Hey all, sry to sound like a broken record, but still working on getting my passport renewed.

Considering last time I might have gotten lucky and not had to pay the $20 bribe to cross by simply 'forgetting' my passport. What are the rules around trying to cross with an expired one?

Passport expired back in June. If I present the passport and say SORRY I just noticed my passport is expired. Would they still let me cross? Or is it really just better to pretend like I forgot mine?

I find the prices in Tijuana a bit odd & irritating as compared to other countries. Seems strange that the most of the girls charge $100 min for anything. But in Europe you pay $20-$50 for a 15 or 30 minute session with a girl. Now Mexico is far poorer country so you would think that the prices would be more reasonable. My guess is that since Tijuana is close to the border that the majority of the guys are tourists in the Zona. But Amsterdam gets primarily tourists and the window girls are not charging $100 min.

So when a chica starts with an outrageous price, she expected the fool to lowball her. Instead of negotiating, he either walks away or agrees to her outrageous price. Amsterdam isn't primary a negotiation economy.

Technically you're not allowed to cross the border with an expired passport but Mexican customs pretty much always lets you cross with a $20/$30 bribe. It seems you were somehow able to cross the last time without paying anything so would just try the same strategy you tried the last time and see what happens. Am very surprised they let you cross the last time without paying a bribe but maybe they're getting more lax on that or maybe you just got lucky and crossed at the right time I don't know. But your worst case scenario is you'll just have to pay a bribe. Wouldn't worry about not getting in.

Technically, the passport is also supposed to be valid (non-expired) coming back into the USA But my experience there (having crossed twice with a recently expired passport last year during the height of COVID) is that USA Customs doesn't care if the passport is expired. They just scan it and let you through most of the time without saying anything. There is a chance USA Customs sends you to secondary though.

From VIP card, 6 month visitor pass fees into Mexico, hotel Cascadas prices, decreased discounts with VIP card, lap dance increased couple dollars, hotels on revolution increased. It's a rich mans game now. Seriously if you go every week you better be rich. I used to go with 40 bucks three years ago and get sex and hotel beers and meal.

Ugh I hate that my passport is expired LOL. The rare problem to face and unfortunate that it had to happen during covid.

What happens in secondary if USA customs sends me there on my way back to USA?

Do I get fined? Or is it more of a way to prove that I'm a citizen?
