I know of guys that have been fleeced for 50000 baht in those places, Refuse to pay, can't pay, than it will turn out to be a night the customer will never forget.

The attractive girls (bait) sitting about outside tempting customers in are sirens and once in their clutches the customers can be held for ransom, even physically escorted to an ATM. Go to the police for assistance, they will tell the customer, more fool you for going in there.

Greetings. I usually buy in Bangkok, but next trip am flying directly into Chiang Mai. Are there any good pharmacies selling this? I'm looking at retiring to CM next year, and this will be a scouting trip. I've been to CM several times and lived in Bangkok long, long ago. I'll also get up to Chiang Rai for a few days, and hope to check out the massage places / bars there. This isn't a mongering trip, but will definitely check out some bars in the CM pool league. Any favorites for a somewhat serious pool player? Cheers.

I've made about a dozen or so visits to CM over the last 20+ years. My mongering style is limited to fishbowl-style massage parlors (MPs). I don't go to bars, so don't have any info on them, but just walking around the town at night, I'd fully agree with A. T. That the bar scene is non-existent or very bad. Nor do I have any info on any online options.

In my early visits, in the early to mid 90's, I also sampled some lady houses, some in Nimmanhaemin Road area, some in the southern parts of the city. I didn't like the experience much, preferring MPs instead, and haven't visited them since. I wouldn't be surprised if their number is greatly reduced now, considering how upscale CM has become.

Of the 5 or so fishbowl-style MPs that exist in CM, Sayuri had been my favorite since my first visit until early 2000's when CM Hills became my top pick. In those early visits, in the early 90's, both the selection and service were outstanding. The very first girl I pulled from Sayuri ended up becoming my GF for a week. Another one, a few years later was even better. My best mongering experience ever. I very much doubt that kind of experience would be available today, sad to say.

By early 2000's, the decline in the selection and service levels had become noticeable. Still, I never failed to find what I was looking for, and still preferred mongering in CM over any other place. This decline, unfortunately, continues. If in the past the challenge was picking the best girl from among many doable ones, now it's just trying to find one doable one from 15-20 in the fishbowl. Challenging, but not impossible. On my latest visit, sometimes I had to shuttle between several different places, but in the end never failed to have a satisfying experience. Service levels have gone down too, but still among the best in the world in my opinion- this is still LOS after all. Perhaps surprisingly, real prices (adjusted for inflation and exchange rates) haven't gone up much if at all.

So in summary, I'd say that if your primary purpose is mongering, or if you like bars and traditional expat-oriented nightlife, CM is not your place. But if you're coming here for touristic reasons but want some actions on the side, in a Thai-oriented atmosphere, you'll find it, and with some luck, have as good a time as anywhere else.

Saved me quite a bit of reading. Looks like it is a place for tourists rather than look for fair girls which can be found in Nataree.

Sometime I just want an affectionate hand job, delivered slowly by a girl that can pretend to like me, but who is in other ways not so experienced. For all its shortcomings as a P4P destination, Chiangmai can deliver this. OT is well known, and there are some cuties in the fishbowl (many ethnic Lisu from Maehongson) who are really not in the trade, but dabbling. I like those. I want to put in a good word for two other places that don't get the credit they deserve: Il Buco on Moon Muang Road just north of Loi Kroh, and a little shop with no name that's straight across to the rip-off Muay Thai spot further down Loi Kroh toward the river. That one marked by a tatoo sign. It's very small and been there for years. Most of the girls in the no-name place aren't young or good looking, but there is one, friendly girl named Sai who says she is 20. Looks no older. Not sure why she's there, maybe compelled. But she's sweet, and she'll get naked on request. I'll share more when I get time. This is my first post. I hope that other members will talk more about little, lesser-known places in Chiangmai where the girls are friendly. I can speak a little Thai, but I think the services I'm talking about don't require it. CM is not such a desert you know.

Read back a ways and have not seen any good Chiang Mai hotel recommendations. Mid range price where P4P is in reach. Plan to do some sight seeing too. A good tour?

More of a break trip from 8 days in Pattaya but would like to be able to "partake"should the need arise.

Yaang Come is nice looking property and also accessible to Loi Kroh where CM's limited P4 P scene is concentrated. But might be more couple / family oriented. There are a lot of places on Changklan, like Shangri La.

Have short listed some others too such as Pornping, Chaing Mai plaza etc but they all seem old for some reason.

CM is not such a desert you know.[/QUOTE]That Il Buco you mention, I approached the place once and was quoted 350 baht for an oil massage and 700 baht by an older woman for a special massage that I guessed was a HJ.

The younger woman that you mention, who I guess is in popular demand as the majority of the staff are grots, I was told by a friend that she or another woman there roughly the same age, asked 1000 baht for a HJ and 2000 baht for her to undress and give a HJ, not including the massage fee or tips. Type in Il Buco massage, on Utube and watch their video.

I have visited the OT massage a couple of times in the past and on each visit have walked out of their greatly disappointed. First the customer has to get through a barrage of papa sams or pimps that determine the prices by how much they think a customer will pay. All the first price negotiating has to be haggled with them before even considering having a massage. Then once in the room with a girl she will start another how much you give me haggling process, like being locked in a room with a high pressure insurance salesman. One girl offered me full sex for 1000 baht not including the massage. I agreed, she took her underwear off only, got on top of me and said; you have 2 minutes to get this over with. That was 4 years ago and have never been back. Unless things have improved since that somehow I doubt, I definitely would not recommend any of these massage parlours, not from my personal experiences anyway.

What I am interested in is getting a decent shag, by even a half decent looking girl at a not cheap but a fair and reasonable price. But that no longer seems available in Chiang Mai or only by luck or chance. Got bored of the no frills HJs long ago.

The advice is, that the massage parlours in the centre of town, the more touristy areas, are definitely not good value for money, they are mostly quicky HJs by women that have little or no massage skills for the cost of that would be for full sex in some areas of Thailand. A few minutes rub over with some cheap smelly gunk and a quick HJ for 1000 plus baht in my opinion is a rip off.

The best bet but still very hit and miss, is to try the massage parlours outside the main drag, located away from the more tourist areas, where the chances are that the services will be cheaper and the staff more obliging due to appreciating the business more having to deal with less tourists and customers during the day. They are around for those who don't mind doing some searching online. Avoid the places that have, club, karaoke, spa and VIP listed in their names, these are rip off big time, I have heard of many horror stories coming out of those places.

On average an oil massage should not cost any more than between 250 to 350 baht per hour and a quicky no frills, no touch HJ from a girl that seems to have 10 ft long arms dressed in sealed tight grope proof clothing is only worth between 300 to 400 baht, 500 baht if the girl lets the customer have a grope, all excluding the prices of the so-called massage The cost of anything over and above that the girl is willing to perform then should be negotiable between her and the customer.

All the Chiang Mai adult entertainments and commercial sex establishments are listed on Chiang Mai Locator. If it's not listed on there, than the chances are it doesn't or long longer exists.

Type: Chiang Mai Locator, into Google search and it's the first on the list. Once into the website scroll right down to the bottom of the page and there is a list. Click on: Chiang Mai Male Entertainment.

It gives the option of subscribing to the insiders guide for 1600 baht per year claiming that it has details to be found no where else. But viewing everything is completely free except it is very basic. It doesn't give many reviews, but it display photos of the places. Ignore the pictures of all the beautiful sexy young girls, they're all fake.

Chiang Mai Locator does provide a reasonable guide as to what's available for the monger in Chiang Mai. If a listed place interests you and there is not enough details, then it is easy once armed with the name to search elsewhere on the Internet.

I was in Chiang Mai for two weeks to check out the place as a possible place to live. Great small city, tons of high quality yet cheaply priced food, people are much nicer here than in Bangkok and they don't 'fake' smile as much as the Bangkokians, has a interesting Laguna Beach / San Fran vibe there. And while I don't care much for these bearded backpacker 20 something type foreigners there trying to make a penny of their blogs, Chiang Mai is a great city.

With that said, everything is great except for. A NIGHTLIFE. I will be honest and didn't explore more like I should have, but overall the nightlife seems to be non-existant. There were a few karaoke bar places with very attractive girls around Old City, but it looked like one of those places as soon as you buy a few drinks, you will get a big tab for 4 to 5 K THB with no happy ending. I've been hearing about the massage parlors and will surely hit that up next, but you can tell that Chiang Mai overall is a big dud for nightlife in comparison to BK.

I did go to Chiang Rai and was very dissapointed with the nightlife there. But then again, a small town like that which is just north of Chiang Mai, it shouldn't be to anyone's surprise. I did go to the area (its been a few months since I was there so forgot the exact street area) where the action is at, and its poorly set up. Its a bunch of mini bars with 1-3 girls on average. Alot of these girls don't really give you the vibe that they are down for action or if they are milking you for more drinks. I did happen to try one place that had three girls with one decent looking one. They just told me to sit down and asked me for a drink. I ordered beer and it was nothing but uncomfortable silenece between the girl and I. The vibe was weird.

I sensed that these places maybe geared towards the type that likes to hang out for a couple of hours with a girl, buy her drinks the whole night, and not have a too-expensive tab at the end of the night with hopes of scoring. This is not my place. No way. The one thing that did save the trip for me which was quite funny was going to the MP that's talked about. The girls there are old and don't have good bodies, but there might be a few milfs that are a bit thin.

I happen to score with this lady who looked to have a nice body (and she did. She was a mountain girl based on her shoulders and legs), but up close, this lady looked like a granny! She looked to be in her early 50's. Maybe pushing 55. But WOW, the sesssion was great and she was into it! I never thought doing a granny would have been this interesting! LOL! Would I do it again? Hell no. But I did pay upfront, I figured. 'ah, what the hell. I'm horny in Chiang Rai so lets make something out of nothing' and I got my moneys worth it. Again, I wouldn't do it but it was quite an interesting experience to say the least.

On a side tangent, there is no way I could live in Chiang Rai. Way too quiet, not much to do especially when you have Chiang Mai next door. I think Chiang Rai is great to start a family and all. Its certainly a cozy town so in that regards, I could see one wanting to make that move there.

In summary, Chiang Rai IMO hands down beats Bangkok overall for everything else except for the nightlife. BK has an excellent nightlife (no, the girls are nowhere near the quality of Angeles. But its nice to eat at a nice steakhouse, get a good stroll and head into Nana or Cowboy.). If Chiang Mai had even a small nightlife then I would move out there in a heartbeat. It really does beat BK hands down. But zero nightlife in CM is unacceptable. One could I guess visit BK once a month and 'splurge' on a weekend trip I guess.

The commercial monger scene or lack of it is very dismal in Chiang Mai. Unfortunately for me I have made foundations and live here. Travelling southwards to Bangkok from Chiang Mai is no short hop plus all the expense of staying at hotels and travelling fares hardly makes the trip viable. It could cost a small fortune staying in Bangkok just for a few days.

I am truly amazed how the Chiang Mai adult entertainments and social scene has dwindled down to literally nothing over the years, and virtually nothing available online. How can this be possible in Thailand's second biggest city? Even back in the UK there was more available advertised in the local newspapers and online at reasonable rates than in Chiang Mai. I can remember only a couple of years ago getting full sex in outer London for £30 from a 19 year old girl in her own house, advertised as massage in the local newspaper. That's 1500 baht everything included, and probably a lot cheaper than going with a bargirl who is passed her sell by date, that involves drinks, bar fines, short time room and tips. So it now seems that Thailand is not such a good deal anymore, especially up here in the north. Really has become a great disappointment.

I lived long ago in Bangkok, and have lived the past 13 yrs in Shanghai. I was ready to move / semi-retire to CM later in 2015, and this trip was just to confirm it (I have been there many times in the past). I'm an over 50 single and speak passable Thai.

My impression was the same as yours. The CM nightlife that I saw was so awful, and many of the expats I met (in the nightlife areas) dregs of society, that I'm now looking elsewhere. Likely Bangkok but perhaps Hua Hin. Living in Shanghai, Bangkok is not a big, unfriendly city compared to here. I'm surprised how boring I found CM (from a daily living standpoint), although the expats who live there (mostly married that I met outside of the bar areas) like the place. Perhaps its charms grow on you. The local Thais were certainly friendly.

I also went to Chiang Rai to the Jed Yod area, and nothing of interest there as well, but a nice area for tourism.
