But since you are a beginner anyways that probably isn't too much of a concern. Medellin and Bogota will have the most career oreinted women. Most typically would say that Medellin has the best facial features and the best cuerpos (tits and ass). Though the ass I would disagree with.

Bogota. Bogota always throws me for a loop. Obviosly it is very metropolitan with a lot to do. But in Bogota I always feel lost. I personally admire the physical features of the Cachacas/Rolas. But most would say that they have the worst of the both the facial features and cuerpo features (tits and ass). The gals will for the most part be Triguena. But not the triguena beauty that I see in Cali and Barranquilla. Triguena nonetheless. If you are looking for a career oriented women. This would probably be the place to go. Most say that the people in Bogota are the coldest of all the people in Colombia. I find it to be true for the most part, though you will find a lot of friendliness. Don't get me wrong, anything is better than the US. As for crime. Obviously Bogota will have the most crime, but not necessarily the most crime per capita. Nothing has ever happened to me in Bogota.

Cali. To me the calenas are the most beautiful of all (I don't like Silicone tits). Calenas have the best asses (along with las costenas), but they won't have the tetas you will find in Medellin. They also don't have the spectacular faces that most prefer in the Paisas (Medellin). I actually prefer the faces and skin color of Calenas and Barranquilleras the most. Of any gals in the world. Most would disagree. The gals will be very approachable. You won't have as many career oriented women. Most likely you would find a house-wife in Cali, if that is what you are looking for. Latly, there isn't a whole heck of much to do in Cali. Seriously, I can see how many would be very very bored in Cali, especially in the daytime and on weekdays in the evening. IMPORTANT Cali is by far and away the most dangerous. It's your biggest chance to get mugged, shot, killed, robbed and it's also your biggest chance to get kidnapped out of all the place you would probably consider going. I wouldn't consider Cali if you don't speak Spanish very well. And even then, it takes cajones and probably the understanding that if you were to die, was anyone really depending on you? I. E. If people depend on you in the US, I would not go to Cali. That's just my opinion.

Cartagena. I love Cartagena strictly because there is a beach (though it sucks) and I love the architecture of the buildings, the vibe in the discos, and one can really appreciate the safety there. It is by far, the safest place to go. That being said, if you are looking for a wife, if you do not prefer dark (black) girls Cartagena is not the place for you. Does that mean there are only black girls? No. But the majority of the citizens of Cartagena are black, and those that aren't. I. E. The ones you would probably wnat to fall in love with due to their looks and features are probably Putas from other cities in Colombia. I do have some triguena friends from Cartagena. But for the most part per capita if triguena is what you want. I'd go elsewhere.

Last point.

I personally don't use the marriage agencies as I want to find someone that I really "Connect" with as opposed to a gal from a marriage agency who probably will "Connect" with whoever and act however you want. Afterall she knows you are looking for a wife. If that is your intention, then I think it comes down to what you are looking for in regards to physical features and career orientation. All the Colombianas are extremely sweet and Colombianas live to please their man. Of course if she doesn't really love you then, who knows. Thus the reason I would never use a marriage agency. I think a marriage agency can be hit or miss. But to be honest, so can meeting them on your own. Good luck.

The prices you found are quite dated. That rate was quoted on this board back in '04.

I just called for a reservation over Christmas. He told me that they were out of single
rooms but had two bedroom units available for 120,000 pesos per night, about $60.

I like light, or light to medium tanned, as well as triguena, but I'm open to anything, but those first. I would like someone who's more career oriented, has some level of education, but who can be a good mother too, if that makes sense. Ultimately, it's her choice, but I want someone who can challenge me a little and has something to pursue if something happened to me and she was left behind. But I like your description of the Cali girls, so that is appealing too. And if she's a good companion, then I don't mind her not having her career. Especially if she's dedicated to the family.

I don't like silicone either. I've always been afraid to pop something, although it looks nice from far. But seeing any remnants of the surgery is a total turn off for me.

So it looks like I'm gonna try to make my stay longer in Medellin than Cali or Bogota, but I think I will try to make a trip at least to Cali, if not Bogota.

Because my Spanish is terrible, I was planning on bringing a dictionary, prescripted lines on every day questions, and to be in touch with a local I could trust beforehand. What other advice can you give me, especially in Cali if I really wanted to go although it might not be the best idea?

As far as the marriage agencies go, I think I won't get any memberships, just if I find someone interesting, pay for a date or for the contact info, the cheaper way to go to get what I want.

That is by far your best decision for a newbie,, either one of the "Mansions" in Medellin plus they have $60/night rooms and there will be other gringos there with familiar language difficulties and similar goals as yourself..As they say "safety in numbers".

If it were me and I did not speak Spanish and I was not planning on actually "living" there for a while, I would not choose Medellin as my destination to find a wife. I also think that if a wife is what you are looking for, the Mansions are not a place for you. I. E. Are you looking to fall in love with a prosituta? If not, and you are planning on somehow meeting "regular" gals on your own. Do you really want to bring them back to a place that is full of a bunch of mongers and prostitutas? What kind of impression will you be making? Don't get me wrong, the VIP and Mansion type places look awfully comfortable etc. You however, need to decide are you going to look for a wife or are you going to hang out with prostitutas? Make that decision and then choose your lodging accordingly.

My only advice is be safe and take it slow. Other than obviously crime, your biggest fear should be falling in love too fast and very hard. These gals are very very good and the pros and non-pros alike will fall for you very very fast. Whether it's real or not takes a lot of experience with Colombianas to really truly figure out.

By the way. I forgot to add earlier. Regarding Calenas. They are known to be the best amantes (lovers) in Colombia. Regardless, if a Colombiana has never made love to you, you are in for a new experience. Regardless of where she's from

I repectfully disagree! If our friend is interested in finding a regular chica for possibly pursuing a more serious relationship. There are plenty of nice rooms available in private apartments in Poblado for as little as $45 USD per night.

There is no way on earth I would bring a regular girl to the MM. Plenty of sweet and beautiful Paisas available in Medellin. Also I would recommend Colombian Sweethearts. Check out their web site you can view the profiles for free.

The answer to your question depends on who you ask. You're asking a forum of mongers how to find yourself a wife. Don't be surprised when we tell you to forget the agencies and go and hunt chicas like there's no tomorrow.

I'd advise to pick one or maximum two cities. You need to concentrate on the place you're in today. Not be thinking about the one you met two days ago back in Cali that's already e-mailing you saying she wants to see you again or come up to Medellin and visit.

Playing with putas the whole time is not a bad idea. You get to see what you like. You find out how to entertain the girl, what are the turn ons and turn offs of a colombiana. This is key for when you actually do meet a girl you want to make your w*fe.

My advice would be change your expectations. You are not going to find the love of your life within 15 days. Set yourself a goal of discovering Colombia, deciding if you want to return and marry a colombiana. Before you set foot in the country, you need to prohibit yourself from making a commitment to anyone you meet in those first two weeks. Swear up and down that you won't accept a puta as your girlfriend.

AHH, my bad, I paraphrased and thought he was just out for some fun, If you are looking for a serious relashionship I would STILL recommend Medellin, It is by far the most "safe" gringo friendly city assuming you stay in the poblado area. Dont wander especially if you dont speak spanish well. Unfortunately if you DONT speak spanish, that is your biggest roadblock to finding true love, because even with basic phrases and sign language it only go's so far. You have to look for a student learning english is your best bet, because a slightly older girl 25 and up who speaks excellent/perfect english, probably has lived in the states or had many gringo boyfriends and might be spoiled and/or too "Americanized" and that equals = Headache/superficial.

My only advice is be safe and take it slow. Other than obviously crime, your biggest fear should be falling in love too fast and very hard. These gals are very very good and the pros and non-pros alike will fall for you very very fast. Whether it's real or not takes a lot of experience with Colombianas to really truly figure out.

The best advice is "take it slow".

Visiting Colombia looking for a wife is silly IMHO ... ESPECIALLY if you don't speak spanish.
If you get yourself in a hurry, on a time table to find a wife, you're just going to find headaches and frustration.

Of course, vist Colombia, make contacts, visit the working chicas, learn the language, ask normal chicas out. See what happens.
Relax and enjoy it.

I agree that the Mansion in Medellin is not the place to find a wife.
Medellin, however, is a great place for chicas, nice sweet normal chicas.

I would even say, stay at the Castillo (more tranquilo) your first time there in Medellin. You can get great info there on both the good and bad girls.
Visiting the pros can actually be great to blow off steam while in pursuit of the normal chicas. You won't be so aggressive with the good girls ... relaxed.

Medellin, if you get away from the plasticas and go out and about in el Centro, more simple malls than Oviedo or el Tesoro. Visit el Estadio area, around the universities, etc, etc ... has many many sweet chicas.

I would actually recommend Medellin as your first point to visit in Colombia.
You're problem will be meeting and trying fit in too many chicas ... it ain't the US amigo ... way different, different planet really :)
