Though I wouldn't make it the center of my visit to Medellin by a long shot, I do enjoy visiting the area.

If I have nothing else going on, I like to show up at about midnite or so and sip on a rum and flirt with some of the chicas.

I usually buy some food and rum shots for some chicas and just hangout a bit.

Yep, most of the chicas are not so hot, however, a few cuties will pop up, depending on the night.

Like with any other chica in other venues, if you can speak spanish with them, if you treat them nicely and gain a bit of their confidence, you can get some nice service, otherwise it will most likely be a quick, bang bang experience.

I've seen guys offer some of the cuter chicas pretty good money for a longer term session, only to be rejected because the chica didn't like the guy or trust him.
Funny as it may sound, though these are low-end street chicas, they, especially the cuties, can be choosy at times.

As far as danger goes. Well, there is a police presence there, and if you stay in the main area, you should be OK.

I have seen fights break out, and of course some shady characters, but nothing like in el Centro at night.

Obviously as it gets later, like after 3am, things seem to get a bit more dicey and less police presence if any, though a sub-station is just down the street.

Basically, if you're not an idiot, you should be OK.

His place was OK also. Nothing luxurious, but OK. Good for the price he charges.

It's impossible to do the research on this place with all the fighting that goes on in the forums. There should be a page for reports only and no comments. Just my opinion. Would make things easier to research for everyone. I appreciate you takin the time to write the report. 2 questions as like yourself I'm looking to go down to MDE myself. I'm 29 years old and I love colombian women. I'm going to be going by myself. Will I be safe #1? How much money did you spend if you were there for a week? That is if you don't mind me asking. I have found a very nice hotel in Laureles. It is the Casa Hotel Asturias. I really like this place and the people that work here are very nice. It is very clean and chica friendly as long as they dont dress like putas. The hotel is behind the Pamona about two blocks in. It is very quiet so you can sleep and it is close to setenta. I usually stay at Johns place but he has been filled up lately. I did stay at Johns for four days and then moved here. I have had my chica spend the night with me every night at the hotel and have had no problems.

Be safe.[/QUOTE]You can do multiple transactions in any ATM up to the daily limit set by your home bank. Say your home bank has a limit of US$500 per day, the exchange rate is 2200, and the ATM has a limit of 300K per transaction. You can do three transactions of 300K and one of 200K.

It is normally best to get the money inside a shopping center. Then bring it back to your hotel/apartment and secure it. Be careful and watchful when using an ATM.

Yes there are lots girls that want to have sex with a gringo or foreigner but I seek the best looking girls in Medellin in das what loutron provides for me. Like I said fase2, san diego this places is hard to have a connection with the girls before they jumped you at the entrance for cover then they want you to buy a half of bottle of rum at70, 000cop not for me my friend. Bettaman[/QUOTE]A lot of the information you seek can be found by simply reading the threads. It is generally better to ask questions after you have done your homework. People don't like doing your work for you. This is not an attack, just some advice on getting the most out of this board.

I have not been to Medellin yet, but here is the information I have gathered from reading the boards:

1. Regarding Safety. Anything can happen. However, if you are careful you should be fine. Basic safety principles apply. Don't get too drunk in public, because you become a target. Try to go out with groups and/or take cabs whenever possible. You can hire a driver/guide for relatively little money. Great option in my mind. See if you can hook up with other hobbyists if possible. Don't wear bling or flash anything of value. Be careful when using ATMs, and don't carry large amounts of cash around. Wherever you stay, make sure they have a safe. Keep your valuable in there.

2. How much money you spend is totally up to you. Based on your "grill cheese" tastes, you would probably be happy staying at a apartment like Frank's place. It is about $150 for the week. Actually, Frank's place sounds perfect for you, because he sometimes acts as a guide and sometimes goes out with those staying at his place as one of your wingmen, has girls phone numbers, etc. Frank seems to like to bargain hunt, pick up semi pros, and deliver more of a organic experience. [color=red](***Edited to add Frank's comments Below about what he offers. See below)[/color]He seems like a great guy. Read his reports and the difference between picking up street girls, and using the more expensive places. (Figure you will be spending between $30 and $100 per girl per session) It depends upon how lucky you are, what your tastes are, how much work you want to put in, etc. But 2K is plenty of money. If you spent it all wisely, your dick is probably going to be really sore by the time you get home

Since you have the money, if you want to pamper yourself a bit, you could stay at the Mansion. You will pay about $75. $95 a night. The rooms are bigger, nicer, with private baths, etc. They have nice common rooms, a swimming pool, etc. (There are other Mansion type places as well.) They bring girls to you, but at a higher rate. There are also good casas, clubs, and escort agencies as well. And staying there does not prevent you from looking for a bargain in the ways you would with Frank. My choice was to stay at the Mansion, just because I like to pamper myself when I go on vacation. But I will venture out a bit from the mansion.

Most importantly, take the time to read these boards. It will be well worth your time on many levels. Read the General thread, Medellin reports, and Medellin lists. Read the cell phone thread. If you are staying at a particular place, read relevant threads. (Mansion thread, or private apartment threads)

The full tab if it's more than one guy! Agencies here charge big bucks for " introductions", I do it for "free"! The least I can expect is for the guys to cover my expenses!

But I will give you an unsurpassed orientation, and a tour worth it's weight in gold! I will transfer to you a very valuable fountain of knowledge in a very short time. The rest of the time that I choose or not choose to be with my guests depends on my schedule! You'll receive a great orientation, but I can't be a personal Wingman for everybody! People are very happy with what I teach them, but some are thinking it's more than I'm offering! Just wanted to set the record straight on this matter!

I definitely don't mind paying more for convenience, ease, greater chance of success, and hottness. For me, looks is really important. The hotter the better. I figure, to get two really smokin' hot girls for a few hours would cost me five grand in New York. So spending a few hundred is really a bargain. What sucks is when you pay more, and get the same thing you would otherwise get, which is always a risk.
