A week before while travellin on OMR in the evening noticed a white chevy spark, after the taramani sgnal. Just like in other spheres of life, mongering also creates connections between people involved.. The p! Mps, the customers and the gals. The connection 'virtually'-"STRONG"-enough to "TRUST" with money, and to ask for loans; big and small.

While the male pimps are notorious for seeking small 'throw-away' loans from the monger (which you can always says "NO" without feeling any guilt) , the lady pimps often seek in 50K+ and L ranges, for a short term loan; And yes, a good deal of acting, (tears without glycerin or the blower) and an excellent story telling, accompanying the request, from the lady pimps, while the male pimps usually ask very directly; with some folks promising extra favors at huge discounts / specials (which 99. 99% of the time never materializes!). (The local, non-contract gals usually seek lower than 50K, but more like the male pimps, very direct in intent to borrow. But then, let this report be exclusively on pimps!)

As collateral for large loans, the pimps often promises a post-dated cheque for the sum. However, if you know the rules of cheque bounce in India, you would NOT take the cheque as collateral. You need to get "Insufficient Funds" as the reason for cheque bounce, to file the 30 day term advocate notice (which address? Will you get address from the bank?) and then to file a criminal complaint / FIR (and to follow up on the case!). (The Pimp v. Monger case, won't look too good in the media / public, if the pimp already has a flesh trade conviction on record. And folks won't have to second guess on the actual nature of the case!).

Most often, the person collecting the money, disappears into thin air (rented apartments!) and disconnects all his / her contact numbers ("is switched off"). Where will you go and search for the pimp in this almost 2B population? The cheque? Well, you can try depositing in the bank; but you will most probably get "bank account closed" notice (it can be some dead guy's account or more damagingly from a stolen cheque book!). You will probably not be lucky enough if you get "Insufficient Funds" and then try swimming the entire length and depth of the court case! .

BTW, exceptions are always there. But then will you go by a general rule or try your luck on an exception?

Best option? Say, you are going thru some large financial constraints and ease out, without feeling any guilt. The knowledge that "All is fair and square in mongering" (but, only "fair" in love and war), including the pimps who would run off with your money, if you give them a chance, will make you feel much better, in the end.
