I apologize if this is not the correct thread for this. But I am looking to take a trip to either Thailand or the Philippines and was wondering what you might suggest for a first timer? I was stationed in South Korea for a year so I'm not totally new to the far east, however that was a very sheltered stay. All advice is appreciated.
I don't think FL are high risk. Nothing is 100% safe of course,
A *very* general summary of ST prices is between 500 and 1000 baht for a Beach Road FL, 1000 baht for a Soi 6 girl, 1500 for a bargirl, agogo girls 2000+ baht. Add the barfine to all except FLs from 300 baht in Soi 6 to 1000 for agogo girls. LT prices are roughly 150% of the ST prices. Barfines are the same for ST and LT.
!
Just to add:
The BF for most beer bars and GoGo bars are the same ST or LT, Since Soi 6 was brought up I would add that this would be an exception as BF for ST and LT are different. The BF for ST could be 300-350 b and BF for LT could easily be double or triple the rate depending on time of night.
FL: I would be just more cautious with them as I did have one that tried to steal from me while I was in the bathroom. I had the shower on waiting for water to warm up and she thought I was already in the shower but when I open the door to get my towel, I saw her hands in the jacket pocket I hung up in the closet. Remember with FL. They can't be traced or tracked so they are more daring.
Last time I took bus. It dropped me on some bus station and from there I have to take tuk tuk as there was no Taxi available. The tuk tuk guy also did not wanted to go to hotel directly and dropped me on beach road. I have to take 2 luggage to my hotel.
I think it depend. If you have luggage I would not take bus.
I travel with a large luggage (people always tell me not to but I can't be bother with trying to locate and buy stuff that I already have at home so I take everything including the kitchen sink).
I always take the airport bus to Patts. Then take the baht bus to nearest street within about a block or two of hotel and no problem walking it as luggage have smooth wheels. Only danger is crossing the damn street. But having said that, it would not be easy for a newbie not knowing where hotel is located and where the streets are. Or worst--booking a hotel mies away from the nearest baht bus route. If you know where you are and where you are going then no problems. Another option is take the Bell Travel bus as they drop you straight to hotel (or nearest known hotel if yours is not really known to them).

Soi 6
I'm back in Pattaya and I just love this city.
So I took a stroll down Soi 6 to reconnect with some bargirls and after chatting with them, I've confirmed some observations of my stroll. There is an influx of new young girls. When I say new girls, I mean cute girls with above average faces, low mileage, slim tummys and most importantly, very eager to please. I spoke with quite a few and many said they have only been working for less than 6 months with an average of 2-3 months. Last year, I was quite disappointed with what was on offer at Soi 6. Didn't see many pretty girls. This time around almost every bar had 3-6 of them. Some bars had nothing but older ladies, I guess that's their theme. I was also told that with the lack of customers of late so many girls are electing to go with Indians, when before they would not. I guess when they are desperate enough money cures racism.
In the room she insisted on payment up front. Now, that's unusual, but I was silly enough to half-accomodate her by putting the banknotes on a book shelf and say, you can pick them up after the act. She swooped past me and grabbed the money. And sure enough, once we were in bed she exclaimed that she NEVER does "sex ass". I said that she had promised this. She ignored me. In the end I asked, so why did you cash an extra high price? She had the nerve to say "me just think you very nice man".
From my experiences in Thailand, when a girl ask for money upfront in the room, it is a 100% signal that there will be some kind of scam. Either the girls will leave early or not do what she agreed to.

Thailand will be easier and safer than the Philippines for the first timer.

Sock, I think you're hitting Pattaya at the right time. Girls are starting to come back now. I know several gogo girls who came back this past week. Soi 6 has been pretty crappy the past 2 months compared to June/July. Thanks for the heads up. Will check it out again this weekend.

I went there yesterday and pickup girl from bar call sex in city. Cute girl. She said she is 23. Paid 1000 +550 BF. Took her to my hotel. She was good and enthusiastic in bed.
Not sure how is usual quality but there are good looking girls I see in some bars if you search them. I however find it sometimes hard to find one as you don't get time to look them carefully when you are walking and hey shouting to come to the club. I wish I get more time looking at all these girls like I get in go go while I drink my beer. I felt Ones you step into one of these bar you get lock-down and then limited to girls in those bars. Not sure what to do? Any veteran suggestions on how to hunt in Soi 6 without offending these girls?

Big booty
Rugby Club bar on Soi 6 has a thai girl with the biggest ass I've ever seen on a Thai girl. Just saying. It was like a black girls ass.

Advice for my next trip.
Hi guys, and great posts all around.
I will be in Pattaya during the 3rd week of November and stay for about 10 days. Can I have some suggestions on the Soi 6 scene. I have read many posts and would like to get a lady with GFE for LTm, maybe couple of days even.
Never tried this area before and would like your help and advise.

I really like the lineup and Night Wish these days. Red Point also has a couple of curvy milfy hotties too.
Enjoy and stay horny my friend!
