On the strip Saturday night there were a lot of girls and a lot of guys. But I noticed that hardly any guys are leaving with girls. Classico was open and I know it was 100 for women because some random chick came and asked me for 100 to go in. Many people came out complaining that it was packed shoulder to shoulder. One guy came out and asked if I was going in. I told him no. He was looking for someone to give his wristband to so they wouldn't have to pay. But I can count on one hand the number of dudes that I saw with chicks. The guys are in groups with their friends and the girls are in groups with their friends, and nary the twain cross.

Also there was some Haitian guy named Joe (says he lives there) selling name bracelets and begging for money saying he needed money for a hotel. Dude you are a grown man. You look quite the fool asking another man to help you pay for your living quarters. I'm just here for the women personally. [/QUOTE]One of the advantages of the upstairs Classico disco is that it is enclosed and air-conditioned, so that means that no smoking is allowed inside. In the DR smoking is allowed in semi-open restaurants and bars, but not in enclosed buildings.

Recently it was a problem in Latino Drink or whatever it is called, because they were allowing people to smoke cigars, etc. Indoors, which was making quite a few other people sick with respiratory infections and so on. A friend of mine who is a full time resident of Sosua was planning to speak to the mayor's office about this, but whether he did or not, I'm not sure. I must ask him.

Whether this in any way contributed to the closure, I cannot say, but I suppose it might just have been one element of noncompliance.

Anyway, I do like the upstairs Classico disco, though one would not want to be in there if a fire broke out.

So first find the chica you want and then start thinking about how much you are willing to pay her. 1500 pesos with the possibility of 500 pesos extra for superior performance for short time should get almost any of them to your room.
