Day 4 was our last night in Bangkok before heading out to Phuket and my buddy and I were determined to not go home alone that night so we had a plan. Having read this forum extensively before heading out to the land of smiles I came to the conclusion that Bacarra in SoiCowboy was the place that had the highest ratio of hot girls. I informed this bit of valuable information to my friend and we decided to hit SoiCowboy early that night.

We hung out in Hillary 4 during part of the day, ate some good Thai food, (mainly prawn curry, I practically lived on that stuff my whole time there) came back to the hotel chilled out, took our showers and were in SoiCowboy at 9pm. Saw Bacarra on the right as soon as we entered and we walked straight in. Turns out that ended up being the first and last place we hit on that strip.

Walked in and was hit with the great sight of about 30-40 girls dancing topless on stage, looked at my friend and we both nodded to each other that we found the right place. There was no room downstairs so we were escorted upstairs and we took a seat just as you enter on the left (the seats with a stripper pole on the table in front of it) There were around 20-25 girls dancing upstairs too with their cute short short skirts. We ordered our drinks and starting scoping the talent out. There were quite a few to my surprise that I would have been more than happy to take home. We bought a couple of ladies some shots (they all drink tequila exclusively I think) talked with a few and both made our choices. Was quoted 5000 Baht and countered with 4000 which was accepted fairly easily. We had a good vibe going the 4 of us so I think the girls were pretty keen. The offer was to go out to Insomnia and party for a while and they were all good with that. We hung out quite a bit and watched the show where they get completely naked and do some dances. The one I chose looked so hot and was dancing real sexy and seemed to be into it so I knew that this was going to be a good night. We barfined them and they got dressed and we left around 12:30 and headed to Insomnia.

We decided to get a bottle of whiskey which only cost 2800 Baht as one of the girls was a member and we had a member discount. Normally the bottle goes for 3400 I think. It's a great value as that includes the cover charge for everyone so well worth it me thinks. We enter the place and it still wasn't that full yet. I really don't like the PSE type girls. I'm not a fan of pushy girls who talk a lot and have routine phrases which they throw at me, ex: "ooh baby me love you long time". It is important you have a friendly face and not a face glooming from predjudism. (atleast I feel so). I have the feel real girls can be offended but I have never seen a ladyboy was offended by my questions. Some of the LB`s are nice o talk to as well (as long as they are not drugged and / or in big groups). I have allways learned that a respectful smile gets me out of trouble though but I hear people have ran into trouble with such). Just be straight forward. Just my experience.

I have read so many post's on various forums from guys coming here for the first or second time and the list of requirements reads like a one month supermarket grocery list. Something completely unrealistic. I share your preference about looks. No one would want to have sex with, what they consider, an ugly girl. The top lookers can sometimes have a disproportionate attitude because of their perceived status. In whatever setting I always pick, what I consider, slightly above the average and the vast majority of times it has paid dividends.

As far as the bars are concerned It is more than obvious if you walk into a Lady-Boy bar, assuming you didn't notice the ones hanging around outside were LB's.

Before anyone jumps in to correct me (H444) I know, or at least have been told, there are bars in NEP which have ladies and LB's. The point is you will only run into confusion if you decide to pick up a lady from the street, especially at the junction of Soi 4 and Sukhumvit road. I have heard many stories of people, usually drunk, getting back to their hotel and being confronted with the meat and 2 veg. The usual response is "I thought you knew". It's good that you air some of your concerns here but don't get too worried and concentrate on maximizing your enjoyment when you get here.
