It's a very much a broken culture with a scam mentally. When the people perceive kindness as a weakness, then it should be avoided.

You can't stay here 6 months in a row on a tourist visa and technically are not supposed to be working here on a tourist visa either--although I doubt an artist working remotely would have any problems with that part.

Kyiv is a fine place to stay. If you speak Russian I would almost suggest you going to Kharkiv. Much cheaper all around and plenty of university girls that need money. But Kyiv is a great city.

In your early 30's you have the world at your fingertips. As long as you don't have problems talking to women, then over time you won't have any problem finding an 18-23 year old that will be happy to share her time with you.

I can't comment on the nightlife here. I have not been to a nightclub in Kyiv since 2013. But coffee shops and cafes are ripe with opportunities. I am grateful to be here during this strange time in our world.

That said, if I had a choice, I would choose Russia over Ukraine. Every time I went to Russia it was truly surreal. It was often like living in an alternate universe especially for "regular girls. But I don't think there is any place besides Russia that I would choose over Kyiv and Russia is more difficult / prohibitive to live in. However my understanding is that tourists are only issued a visa for 1 month?

Most common permission for stay in Ukraine is 90 days for each 180 day period, visa free.
