Short short skirts, alone, smiling and their eyes looking at men, not only gringos. Just kind of hanging out and strolling around. Apparently not just waiting to meet friends.
Don't worry about Parque Lleras. If in doubt, smile at the woman. If she smiles back and keeps walking, or doesn't smile back, not a hooker. If she turns to face you, or says something to you with a smile on her face, hooker. If you make a mistake, the worst thing that could happen is her boyfriend will stab you several times, but most knife wounds aren't fatal and you can live without your spleen, one kidney, most of your liver, your gall bladder, etc.
But seriously, you'll figure it out.
Some almost real-time info for why'all. All just a few hours ago.
12 pm New Life, Calle 56 (Bolivia) # 43-39. Very good lineup. Maybe 15 girls. Was hard to choose so I took two, Melany and Tatiana. Good time. Both partied, 45 minutes damage including 3 beers was 135 k COP, plus 50 k propina for them to split. This was the only spot that had a steady flow of customers, maybe 1 person every 20-30 minutes. Everywhere else it was usually me alone.
1 pm Club de Amigas (ex Sexi Sala De Masajes), Carrera 45 (El Palo) # 57-55. No chicas, off to the next spot. .
1:10 pm Aiffe, Calle 57 (Argentina) #43-27.
Lineup of about 8-9. All the girls in very nice lingerie. But none too pretty.
1:20 pm Paisa Relax (ex Sara, Relax, Camila), Carrera 45 (El Palo) # 57-71. Only 3 girls available, none good kept it moving.
125 pm Masajes Sexy 1 or Club Amigas Sexi, Carrera 45 D # 57-67. By this time I had given up hope. But there were about 15 girls here and more than a few cuties. Also noticed a sign saying 20 k cover but consumible so use it for beers. 70 k for one hour. But the mamasan who was very nice told me take two for 90 k. So I did. They partied too, a lot (Cristina and Melissa) but wanted a 40 k tip each for the lesbo action. I obliged. So with all that fun it ended up going for two hours. Total damage including a bunch of beers for all and propina 300k (~USD $100)
New member going to MDE for my first time in November. Been doing all I can to RTFF, and I appreciate all the great info you guys have posted. Some posts though are especially helpful to first timers, and Barkey. Yours is absolutely awesome.

I myself would absolutely choose that hotel again for a future trip to Medellin. One of the great things about that hotel is the location. A huge Exito supermarket, a Pasteur pharmacy, a Metro stop, and the Oviedo Mall are all a few minutes walk from the hotel.

A group of 4 girls walking in a group together, dressed sexy, but not too overtly slutty, not saying anything to each other, scanning the crowds as they walk by. Totally looked like sharks looking for prey, LOL.

Thanks for the excellent post. It just reinforces the decision I've already made to make my first trip to MDE.
Curious about how you handled the transfer from the Mansion to Sites. Were you able to book the room at Sites after you arrived in MDE? Or was that already taken care of before you left L.A.?

Barkey.[/QUOTE]I bought a bag of Juan Valdez Fuerte ground coffee from the Exito. Stuff tasted fantasatic when I brewed it back in the USA and I regretted not buying more. You can also do money exchange inside the Exito but the process is a lot more tedious than doing it at one of the cambios in Oviedo Mall.
At the Pasteur pharmacy near the Exito, you can buy Viagra and generic Viagra (sildenafil) over the counter without prescription. This is what I said in an old trip report. Keep in mind prices were current as of exactly a year ago:
"No, you do not need a prescription to buy Sildenafil (Viagra and generic Viagra) at pharmacies in Medellin. At Pasteur Farmacia, 2 tablets of 50 MG Viagra= 58,700 COP, while 1 tablet of 100 MG Viagra= 25,000 COP. 2 tablets of generic 50 MG Viagra is 5,600 COP or 18,000 COP (depends on the manufacturer). 1 tablet of generic 100 MG Viagra= 5,900 COP (manufactured by Genfar and sold as "Sildenafilo" in a small red and white box)."

I booked my room at Sites before I left home. I needed a place to stay after Santa Marta and really based on Quagmire's prior report and recommendation this seemed to be an ideal place for me especially since I probably would have a friend with me. It was. Should you stay here just make sure when you leave the hotel for any outing that you have the hotel's business card with you so you can show the taxi driver the address. I only found one that actually new the name of the hotel and it's location.

Have a seat at the Bogotá Beer Company on the top of the park next to the entrance to the beach themed disco on the second floor. You will quickly see lots of the girls loitering across the street in the park, near the payphones, etc. They are all available. The disco also is full of them, but I didn't go up to check it or since it was early (10 pm) and still sparse.
They will quote 300 k+, but will probably take 200-250 k for a couple of hours. TLN isn't easy to come by cheaply anymore. Most will quote 500 k+ and not budge.

300 k is a little over $100 USD which is about what one would pay in Panama City. I'm wondering if punters in Lleras Parque are over paying and setting these prices.
