If you expect to shag her, she expects to get paid. So, better to agree with her ahead of time on how much you would give her for each day. Also, I suggest you give her her money every day, this way you don't have to shell out too much more for gifts. She has money to buy her own stuff. Be subtle. Give her some money at the end, sure, what you think is fair. Otherwise show her a good time. If you go all business when they are trying to keep things cool you risk humiliating them.

If after spending an hour or so with her, maybe a couple of times, and asked if she was interested in going to CTG with you as you handed her $150 K I'm sure she would say "Si. Voy a ser tu novia". If she is new to the business and maybe heard or read she could get $2 MM - $3 MMK / day it's a no brainer. Keep in mind that the terms "novia" and "novio" are used pretty freely when in the bar.

On the other hand if you spent a lot of time with her outside the Mansion, or wherever, and she refused payment then maybe you might have something. Are you her age? Do you speak at least decent Spanish? All things to consider. I would try to clarify these issues upfront but plan on leaving her something.

If she says she doesn't want any money, just wants to go on the trip with you, then you could assume she is being genuine. But it is better to find out this info upfront than to have a pro go all psycho on you over money while on your trip.

It's possible that she genuinely enjoys your company and just wants to see Cartagena with you. It's also possible (and more likely) she wants to be paid. The only way to find out which one it is is to ask her upfront (in a nice light-hearted way).

It's certainly the exception to the rule, but if you get along well, some girls at the Mansion will do stuff with you that's not strictly business. I've stayed overnight in Guatape with a chica I know from the Mansion for nothing beyond Hotel, food, and transportation expenses (Hotel LOS Recuerdos -- highly recommended). Of course if chicas do this, they may try to dig their claws in you, and get pissed off if you go with other girls. For that reason, it may very well be better off to just pay them and keep it professional.

Yes, I did exactly that back in April. Please find my detailed reports that I published back then as well as discussion that it generated on the forum. Overall I had a great time and never regret but not sure I would repeat exactly the same. My observation is that taking a colombian chica on a short vacation is a good idea if you do it right way, in other words, if you are smart enough to understand your chica and the dynamics around you. Good Spanish (which I didn't have) is definitely a plus for plans like yours.

Thanks for all the responses. My friend told me the same thing as many are saying to pay her a daily stipend. However, let me give you a little more information. I'm a young guy (27) she's 22. My Spanish is probably equivalent to that of a 3 yo. I mentioned to her on WhatsApp that I'm coming to Mde at the end of the month but I'm spending a few days in CTG as well. Cleared upfront before going that I wouldn't be paying them to join me and they agreed.

I would never take one of her girlfriends with me. She has to want to go with just you or it will turn into a disaster.

(1) She lied to him. She's not new to the mansion. No chica is "new" to the Mansion.

(2) If they play the novia game it's another lie. It just means you're getting it wholesale.

(3) Since you're paying for the trip you're not obligated to give her anything but trust me she'll bring it up in a subtle way if she needs money.

Do not under any circumstances believe a working girl who tells you she's new to the business. If they were new they would not have the nerve to tell you or go on a trip with you. She's done this before.

It doesn't really translate but the closest thing in US English might be "Well, get a load of you!" I think a lot of us know that even if you don't "need" Viagra to "help you perform," it can be a handy tool. And yeah, a lot of us are old. A translator can also be a useful tool, but if the only tool you have is a hammer, everything might start to look like a nail. Translators suck because they can't handle homonyms or regionalisms, which is why I made the earlier joke about running "listo caballero" through a translator. Some hooker did that and posted the results to the board, hoping to drum up business, and it made NO sense and a pretty high level of Spanish would be needed to figure out what she meant.

So if your friend says, "I bought a new BMW for 120,000 dollars" or "I fucked Miley Cyrus last night," you could say '¡Mira vos!' Does that make sense? It should literally translate as 'look at you. '.
