True, but if you've lived there for any significant time you'll know your way around and unless you find some glorious reason for feeling "rich" some night you can still wake up very happy with some 8 or 9 rateable nice company for between P300-P500 (or even free "for love"). You just have to know your way around; it's not that hard to do! Read some of the older postings to find out how.

Just one word of caution, learned the hard way even though I should definately know better (which I may get around to posting about sometime) ... don't get to complacent or trusting. The "friend" of your friend's friend may be someone they don't know very well at all. If you have them over you may wake up poorer than you expected.

Question for GROpapa... this is my first post but ive been browsing the board for a while. I'll be in manila next month and im keen to hook up with JR. have you used his services recently? How do you rate his girls at the moment? Ive used other people in the past but from what ive seen on this board your recommendations seem to be worth following up. I'll be happy to post again after my trip with any worthwhile stories :) regards

The last time I used Jay R's(09174145416) services was back in late November 2002, I mainly used him as a guide to take me to the various KTVs so I can barfine a girl out of there and back to the hotel safely. On one occassion in that trip he did drop off a girl that he was giving a ride to, she worked at a KTV and looked like GRO calibre so I was able to bypass the barfine on that one.

My 5 buddies and I are heading into Manila all of February, I already notified Jay R so he'll be on the lookout for fresh meat - this might benefit you :)

I'll make sure to let him go and service customers from this site, I'm so well known at those KTVs now I might as well be a guide hehe.

I'm a 51 year old fat, beer drinking, blue collar American guy, probably a typical hobbiest, winging my way to Manila on February 21. Staying at the Heritage Hotel for 3 days, hope to see EDSA complex and Makati, and then on to Cebu on Tuesday the 25th. Staying at the Cebu Marriot for the first 2 nights, and after that the decks are clear till I have to go home March 8th. I have a few ladies to see but I would love to meet up with anyone from the board at any time .

Regarding Jay R's services:

He has no fixed fee, it's up to your discretion. Personally after a full night of KTV bar hopping and eventual pick up of a chick I tip him a 500 peso bill - he did after all drive me around and guided me around for several hours.

As far as the girls that he brings for house calls - they cost 3k Pesos allnighter - again..his tip is at your discretion.

Considering a taxi here in L.A. cost 60 bucks to get from LAX to my house I don't mind giving Jay R a 500(9 bucks) peso bill for his taxi and guide services...that's just common courtesy I think.

I have been in Phils some time. I can assure you that when you pay 3K to a girl , JR is getting about half in 'commission'. All in he makes 500 for your tip plus 1500, toal 2000 Peso per session with you. In Phils he is on big time. Sounds like you need to cut out the 'middle man' JR!
Just do sneak out with the Burgos girls (after hours meeting) and pay them 1000. Indeed choose a really nice one and meet them next day someplace. So easy and only about 1000. Save you money for more and better!

Please can you tell me where the best place is at the moment to pick up a normal non pro? Any in bars/clubs would be welcome. I arrive Friday evening so will have no time to check the place out. I am staying in the Peninsula and am 32.

I know what he makes, after all he's a friend of mine. He does work hard for his money and I appreciate that so I look at it as a contribution to his family ( my 500 tip and the split he gets from the 3k).

In the States it costs anywhere between $40 to 75 to get from my house to the airport. In the Philippines it costs $60 to get to heaven without leaving the comforts of my place, and I'm also helping feed someone's family. Can't beat that with a baseball bat.

To any hobbyists coming to the Philippines or to any other country - wouldn't you agree that great customer service is key to a fun trip? well in my book Jay R provides great customer service so he deserves a good tip just like any other service employee who depends on commission to make a living.
