Yes but some of OWL's comments about the vietnamese social system and the old fart perverts who run it are correct.

Underneath it all there are some nice friendly people in Vietnam (in the P4P scene as well) but they are hard to find.

Has anyone been to Soc Trang in the delta recently? I'll be going there in early March and was wondering if I'd be bored to death or find some interesting, out-of-the-way fun.

it thrives all over the world in different wraping, not just in vietnam.

I made a trip to Vung Tau this past week and had a few bits of information to share.

As you head east of the statue of tran hung dao, there's a karaoke bar on the left side where you can negotiate a happy ending. Average price for LT is about 800,000. All the cabbies know it. They get a 200,000 kickback for bringing customers so it's better to just walk from the statue, otherwise be prepared for the asking price of 1 Mil. The mamasan owns a nearby place where you can rent a room for an additional 300,000 for the evening. This setup really isn't my first choice, but its an almost guaranteed happy ending. Next time, I think I would go try the bars across from the statue first before going with the karaoke bar.

There's not much of a selection. There were only two when I went there at around 3pm (6-7 in my book). The shorter of the two had a nice rack, was fun to chat with (if you know a bit of viet) and actually tried to look out for my best interests. After some fun in the room, we chatted for a bit and I was able to get on her good side with some sweet talk. She warned me the cabbie would try to suggest eating and take us to a restaurant where he had a prearrangement to overcharge for food (so they could split the profits later). We went to a different place instead and that really pissed him off, although he tried to keep it under control. We wound up splitting ways with the cabbie and my girlie took me riding around on her moto. After that we went to back to the mini hotel for a second session and went to a cafe afterwards. I wound up spending the evening in Vung Tau and took the first hydrofoil back to HCMC.

On another note, I was told that the An Thu hotel was closed a few weeks back. This is from the cabbie that was trying to fleece me, so I'm not sure how reliable his information is.

I think she had to leave by 11pm but did promptly turn up at 7am the next morning. I was told that if the cops raided the girl would be in a retraining camp for 6 months and I would be heavily fined.

Has this changed or are there specific hotels that don't get raided.

If so any further info would be appreciated including the names of the hotels.

Is there any action to be found in Mui Ne? Looking for a good beach not too far from the city. Was thinking of going back up to Na Trang but it's too far of a drive and looking for something new. Any info would be appreciated.

Was at Mui Ne a few months back. Not much action there. A few run down discos and bia om(s). I was approached by some FLs there but I feel that the meat in HCMC are "fresher".

IMHO, if you are used to the kind of standards and chicks you get in HCMC, I would suggest you just go there to R&R and have fresh seafood.

Any info would be appreciated.[/QUOTE]Take one of the many small motorbikes in Mui Ne and drive to Phan Thiet about 5 km down; on the main intersection (traffic lights), turn left; about 300 m to the left is a nice massage place.

Just back from a 3 week stay in Vn. Bamboo Green Riverside is still good for "In Room" massage service, not bad for 120K an hour, extras running from 200K- 400K HJ/BJ respectively. Not rushed and pleanty of GF flavor if you're nice. Also did a small hotel immediately behind Bach Dang Hotel on the street running paralel with the Vietnam Airlines Office on it. 200K ticket but that was high because I was unusually early 9:00am but the BBBJ was so sweet for another 200K. I have to say the 19yo girls ass was one of the nicest I've felt. Technique and looks both high quality. Had to bargain hard to keep the price at 200K but I held my ground and she didn't deduct points for the bargaining either. Great suck and quite the tease.

Not much to report there, had a so so massage at the Loang Hong Hotel. The only odd thing to report was that I was washed 99% of my body by a male attendant. Something I've never experienced before in. I was so tired from the trip I didn't have the strength to argue.

Stayed at the Pleiku Hotel, steam and suana downstairs. Some real sharks to deal with there but massage and HJ were exquisite. As some of the pros here will tell you always bargain from a source of power. Hard to do when the Big Boy is standing at attention and she starts asking "how much, how much."
