This is so true. Ever since my first trip to Thailand, it's amazing how unenthusiastic I am about a 30 minute drive each way plus an indeterminate border wait just to get laid in TJ. And I know my way around and have a few regulars among the street girls and Adelita chicas, but I still can't get excited about it. Thailand has completely ruined me for TJ. I'd rather spend 18 hours each way flying to Thailand (and knowing I'll have at least 2 weeks in Paradise once I get there) than 30 minutes each way driving to TJ.

my girley and i picked sunday afternoon/evening to spend at adelitas because we knew there'd be standing room only if saturday nights were true to form.

we arrived at about 4pm, picked a cozy spot in the corner next to the men's room, relaxed and watched the goings on. the place is a circus, that's for sure. it's interesting to "people watch" at adelitas bar. it's also interesting to feel your girlfriend up there. you get lots of attention and nobody tells you to keep it "clean." lots of fun.

after a few beers i was all over her. when there were some girls standing close by and peeking at us, i would stuff a few $20. bills down her t-shirt, that really got the girls excited. (i did get them back later of course.) later, i stuffed the same ones back in her t-shirt. the ab girls must have thought she had a cupplehun in there with those titties.

with the dramatic changes to adelitas, it's difficult to feel at home there anymore. gone are the dark corners and creaking floors that gave the place some character. gone is the back bar and postage stamp dance floor where it was fun to hide with your girley or chat with your amigos. now, the dance floor is expanded and multi level - i don't know why, very few of these girls can dance.

the place was quiet sunday afternoon but began to get busy around 6:30. the girl selection was very poor early inthe day but at night, some hotties started to float in. one in particular with a thin body, and perfectly shaped d cups was roaming the floor. she went arriba three times in one hour. one guy lasted only 5 minutes with her, maybe he didn't get her in the sack. she had a sour look on her face. maybe that got bigger than her tits by the time she got upstairs -who knows.

from our vantage point, we could see all the games going on from the girls and the guys. guys eying the girl, girl evaluating the guy (or not), the sticker shock at the ficha prices, the negotiation, the arriba nod, the strut out, the return, the trip report at the table etc.

nothing has changed except the ficha prices and the cost of arriba. the same adelitas. the 3:1 guy to girl ratio made it a sellers market. i think an arriba still costs $60 for the 1/2 hour plus the room. a few of the girls certainly looked like they would be worth the trip. there were several shall we say "other girls" there as well, complete with extra padding. but they must have had great attitudes because they were going arriba all night long.

there were some very young girls there too - definitly barely legal, i'd ask for id before taking them up (one can never be too careful , can one?)

i stuck to the table and towards the end of the evening i had my girleys nips firmly gripped between my thumb and forefinger. sheesh, it's fun when you can do that shit in a bar. her and i had a lot of laughs, we'll go back for sure.

the place is a fuck factory. the girls and the management want you to buy fichas and go arriba. i overheard the maseros on sever occasions tell the girls to get out there and mingle for those fichas.

it's like a department store now. you go in, buy what you want, you leave. the days of being able to afford time downstairs with the girl are over except for a select few who have the money to spend.

Did my monthly run to Adelitas. This was my best trip yet. Here's the report card.

There is no shortage of takers however. I think the girls and management are trying to appeal to a more "upscale" demographic. Rumor is the girls will be going for $90 to $100 in the not-too-distant future. Yet the place will still be packed.

I pity the guys who stroll in there now. They look (and behave) like they have no idea what's going on and that's what management and the girls count on. Too bad. Used to be a cool place to hang. Tropical Bar is now what the old Adelitas was IMHO.

Despite that this has become the site to dump on AB and post about other places here (sorta like our photo forum - post anything but photos there), I thought I would write about AB.

Got there about 9PM, when there were still an equal number of males and females. Not a bad crew for a tuesday. Probably less than 10% were faces I recognized from my last trip in the late Fall. Saw the Madonna look-alike - they had her up to do a dance set. She is wearing fur boots over her jeans, kinda sexy.

I sat at the bar over by the old hottie central. Place filled up nicely, but it was interesting that at certain times of the night the crowd of males was definately older. Despite the rap crap they pump out for music. Sorta makes you miss the old Spanish tuba tunes.

Checked out one chica who was so young looking I was afraid to head upstairs with her. Blond shag, whie 5 inch heels, weighs about 75 pounds wet, no ass, little titties.

CJ is the man and I would listen to everything this guy has to say. I've been into AB maybe 2 times in the past 2 years, I think only once to be honest. After I first started going down for girls 3 years back I went a couple times and quickly saw that is was a joke. Yeah some of the girls there are stunners, I mean easy 9's, but if there attitude sucks and you get a whole 10 minutes together before some ******* is knocking on your door wanting a tip, is it really worth it? Personally I know friends who still like AB because they do have the prettiest girls but it really is a factory and not a good one at that.

Great TR by the way. I think the lesson is that when you work with a repeat, the sessions run better despite the high ficha prices and otherwise bad service.

For all the bitching and complaining I do about Adelitas, I should disclose that I don't recall having a trainwreck session there. Ahhh Esmeralda....

I hated the remodel, I loved the old setup with the dark corners. The service HAS changed and anyone who's been going there since before the remodel senses it. Now, if you don't have a beer in your hand in 30 seconds on a busy night they are throwing you out. They have the right to do that of course because after all, it is a business.

They spent a ton of money on the place.

If you are into "Sport Fucking" then Adelitas is the place to go. It's quick; you're in-you're out, you're back at the border and in your own bed in no time flat. I guess I should be fair about it even if I don't like it.

But if you don't have your eye "on the ball," if you look or act like you can be easily fooled, be very careful at Adelitas. Unless you are repeating with a fav, don't expect a GFE or anything even close. Expect an "Insert Tab 'A' into Slot 'B' production line session. Some guys are fine with that and that's cool.
