It's a silly change that Line made where you cannot find anyone in Thailand by their IDs unless your account is linked to a local Thai number. You may either try to link a local number to your Line or create a whole new Line account with a local number.

My Line account is registered with my Thai phone number so I can search by all avavilable means. But just wondering besides Line ID are you restricted from all searches expect QR code?

I let them add me then I do not add them until we meet and things go well. Too many flakes have clogged up my list. Mfs giving you their info and never even responding and shit. 528 people on my friends list and I am sure I talk to less than 50 including people in the expat groups that I am a part of.

I've seen multiple screen shots from multiple ladies of that message.
You can try it by asking a Thai TF lady to send her Line QR code to you using the TF app.
On the other hand, I can send my Line QR code to ladies using the same process without problem.

Apparently it is no longer possible to install Line unless you use a South-East Asian phone number.

Thai girls have WhatsApp installed, but they don't use it for P4 P because you get access to their phone number. In my experience, the only girls who use WhatsApp in Thailand are the foreign girls. Now you are here saying Thai girls only use Line for P4 P. So many P4 P chicks have said do not have Line only whatsapp. Truth of the matter is they are apps and people use them to their preference. There is no ulterior motive of chicks telling you they have one and not the other. Nobody cares about a phone number these days except mongers who are paranoid they will be outed. I have given tons of chick my whatsapp and a grand total of zero have tried contacting me directly through the phone number instead of whatsapp. Who even uses a phone number to call anyone these days? Even my own parents call me through whatsapp and they are in their 70's.

That's without "visiting" anyone or changing my profile, except for posting a photo. I do say posting a photo is essential.
I have to agree, LINE has just become so complicated and convoluted to set up, I lost my old account because I didn't realize I had bought a tourist sim which expired rather than a regular Thai Sim. Had to jump through 20 hoops to get the f'ing account onto a new device as well.
In the last week, I have hardly been asked to change to LINE whilst on TF, if anything what's app seems to be more common now alright. It's quite significant change to last year or even 8 months ago on my previous visit.
Can't find it scrolling thru posts. What is the story with subscriptions, Thai friendly? I want a yearly subscription; not 1 month at 19 dollars. How do you do a yearly?
