Smaller stores may carry it and issue without a script but as others have said there is a very high likelihood that it will be fake. At P1000 per tab, I thought it was expensive compared to what I would pay back home. That's a major achievement given how low the bar is for all the other methods.

Expect multiple queues and windows for various tickets, fees, permits and insurances. Yes, you and I would include all of them in one ticket price but welcome to the Philippines.

Pre-purchase a ticket online for next week and flash a QR code at arrival? Nope.

Ferry to Tagbilaran was Oceanjet and business class for 1400 (fuel increase due to oil etc) was pretty comfortable and a smooth ride. For return bought same but booked online plus a small fee and check in went smoothly. And crossing was calm too.
