I don't think you'll get very far without Japanese skills, but I haven't tried it so I don't know the full deal. It might be worth looking into. Where was this one in particular? If they accept gaijin into the building, that's a good start.

Thanks to Viagrant for the info. With help of his map my GPS unit (to make sure I was going the right way), I found Yoshiwara. The touts spoke Japanese to me as I was going down the street. I did later approach a few and asked if foreigners were allowed. After being told no by a few, I found once that said yes and told me 35K for 2 hours, 2 pops. After picking the girl, they told me 75K! That was way out of my budget and $ I had. Later he got it down to 35K for just 90 minutes...more than enough for me.The place was Blue something (forget the 2nd part of the name) I had a pretty good time but had a problem communicating since I know no Japanese. Japan is nothing like Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Costa Rica, Philippines, Mexico, or anywhere else for that matter. It's expensive, confusing, and overwhelming for a first-time visitor. When you find them, you cannot gain admission to 99.999% of the commercial sex venues in Japan, and most of the places that would admit a foreigner really suck. Japan is a private sex club and you are not a member. Many hotels (maybe all of them?) in Japan are "girl friendly." The problem, of course, is finding a friendly girl.I can't help you with bars in your area. The bar and club scene for foreigners is difficult unless you go to Roppongi or Shibuya. See older posts. When you visit, remember to be respectful, polite, and dress well. If you do all these things your odds will improve dramatically.

Quite high to the $110 I paid last week in Kuala Lumpur. Hope the "quality" justifies the cost. For myself, I could never justify the high prices. I used to visit the BJ parlors for their $30 earlybird 2-release specials, and I saved the money I would have spent on the more expensive Tokyo venues. You can fly to Bangkok or Cebu for a week and spend less than you might spend on an evening in Tokyo. Japanese men do it routinely.Japanese women are great.
