You are probably right in general. However, I will say that in the specific example of a 25 year old junior banking analyst in NYC making $200 K, the unfortunate reality is that those young men are made to work nearly 80 to 100 hours weeks. They generally don't have much of a dating life. Some do, but not many.

Also, it is not in many areas of work that young men just a few years out of college make $200 K. Bankers or some young law associates out of Ivy League schools at white shoe firms and a few others do make such sums but they are also made to work commensurately long hours.
