It can mean an easy rider, according to the internet, but I have never heard it used that way and the net did not say where it had that connotation. Means a homosexual in my world.

It may mean pimp somewhere but I think in that context, it would just mean a guy who didn't have a job and let his girlfriend support her. However, I have never heard it used that way in any Spanish-speaking country I've been to, which is almost all of them. What country did you hear that in? As far as I know he's nowhere near gay. I met him a couple of times. Just typical young latino macho dude.
Haven't been there in forty years so it could be Venezuelan slang. Usually the preposition would be 'como' (yo trabajo como cocinero) but that varies a lot from place to place. The more common word for pimp is 'chulo' in most of the places I have been. Maybe he was just jerking your chain. 'Trabajaba [B]con[/B] putas,' meaning 'I worked with hookers,' is another way I have heard pimps describe themselves, similar to a hooker saying 'Trabajo con hombres. '.

Believe it or not working girls experience the same emotions as normal women. I was seeing her for 3 months and she always stayed at my apartment on the weekends. If you pursue this hobby a lot, from time to time you run into a girl that legitimately wants to spend time with you. IMO one needs to keep in mind what that entails. Generally the girl will dig her claws into you and not want you to bone other chicas. I've had this happen a few times, and the "free" sex usually didn't end up being worth it. A decent % of these chicas can get psycho /violent.
So if the OP goes to Cartagena with this girl for "free," he should be prepared that she might freak out seeing him with other girls at the Mansion (of course she can fuck other guys because it's her "job"). We have all had it happen. Some pro girls try to stick it out for the big move " major pay off". Some are new to the game and if you are nice and fun then its a great exit strategy for them. I've toyed with this a few times and the free end of it never works out. Easier to pay and have zero obligation. From what I gather any normal chick not from money that is attractive will accept money for time here and there. But here is an option if you guys like playing the field then there are a few set ups where they bring 100 chicks a night that are begging to meet american men for marriage. Its fun and met a few good girls. Found 2 in columbia and 1 in Costa Rica. I am sure there are more but if you want a legit girl then I would suggest looking outside of the mansion, even though the girls there can be good. The little tours where you meet girls I'm sure with it being in Colombia that they at some point might of sold themselves but they are there to meet a good man so chances of them being legit are much better. I met a chick on Cupid who had confessed to being a former hooker but said she had squared up and was working in an office. This was back when msn messenger was the way to communicate. So we were talking getting to know each other and the next time I went to Rio she came and stayed with me. She wanted me to go to Rio Sul mall with her so she could buy a washer and dryer. She had a fat knot (which she said her dad gave her to buy the appliances) but they did not have the one that was in the sales paper that she had brought along. A bait and switch thing.
So I went back to the States and we continued to get to know each other. The next time I went to Rio (which was not long after) I did not let her know.
