Finally went into an gogo on LK Metro, as fate would have it I was seated next to a fun girl so finally ended up going back to my hotel with a girl. It was a nice time with her but it's a lot of paraphernalia to go through just for one shag.
Tonight I went down to Walking Street, a bit livelier than LK Metro, went into Windmill Club as I've read a lot about the place, what a total disappointment it was so lame. Had a look upstairs exactly the same so it was one beer and back to the Hotel.
Sorry to the rest of you for repeating this but I must guide my fellow FKK friend here. If you want something that resembles a FKK where you grab a girl and fuck her then go to Kinnaree on a Wed-Sat. Go at 2:30 pm. Girls leave at 7 pm.
I have mentioned a few times here recently which gogo bars to go to currently. Lineups fluctuate greatly. Windmill IS NOT one of them. Sure it's dirty there (likely toned down now during mourning period) but no lookers. For pretty girls go to Sensations, Baccara. For more fun go to Ninja at LK and Sapphire.
As for DD, I'm pretty sure you're not going to find the GFE feel a Thai girl can give you at a meat market like that.

First night back in town
Last night was my first night back in town and I was keen to see what impact, if any the King's passing had made.
I started with a walk down Soi 7 and the place was wall to wall with girls. Most of the music was noticeably turned down (which isn't a bad thing) but other than that it was very much same same.
Next I took a wander down Beach Road and likewise the place was as expected full with freelancers of all ages, shapes and sizes waiting for some lovin.
I grabbed some food at a nice place I know down near walking street and then hit a few of the gogos including Sugarbabes, Alcatraz, Peppermint and Windmill. Other than the suggestion from staff that they now close around 2 am it was business as usual. Plenty of nudity in Sugarbabes and Windmill, and the talent was surprisingly good in Sugarbabes. It looks like they have put an effort into finding some new fresh talent.
One noticeable difference on Walking Street is the fact that a lot of the establishments including the open live music bars have the front part of the building covered with what I can only describe as drapes which I assume is an effort to keep the noise within.
At around midnight I checked out the Red Car Bar on Walking Street and the place was buzzing. Good music and a decent selection of freelancers. Hooked up with what I felt was a decent prospect relatively quickly and had a couple of beers before bringing her back to mine for a good night.
All in all there is relatively no impact from the King's passing. It remains business as usual.
JoS.

No fees CC card
This is probably true BB as far as the Charles Schwab card is concerned. But I know there is a certain European no fee ATM card as well. Unfortunately I can't recall the bank. Perhaps another board member can supply this information.
The DKB refunds withdrawls from their debit card, number of free withdrawls is limited to 10 or 20. Anybody in Pats after Nov 5th? Want to meet PM me. Staying at August Suites.

Go ahead and laugh, but I stashed $50 bills under the insoles of my shoes when I went to Medellin last fall. I went back home with money in my shoes. Anyone else have other ideas or suggestions for traveling with cash?
I have to debit card accounts that are linked with the money split between the two, if I lose one card I can easily transfer funds to the other debit card. I keep one debit card as an emergency card, I'll tape it to the inside of my carryon with black tape. Also look inside your carry-on suitcase, some of the supports are hollowed out aluminum brackets. Wrap up 10 100's in some plastic, roll them tight and tape a bit of string to the end and push it into the hollow support. Tape the end of the string so you can retrieve it.
On The 6. Chick wants to come with me. She said bar fine 500 and 2000 for her. I told her that was too much. I will only give 1000. She tried for 1500. I said can not. Only 1000. She said okay. 500 for bar and 1000 for me but do not tell anybody. Now I only have 12 minutes to wait til the bar fine drops to 300. Now working on getting one for my brother at the same price. LOL. The adventures of Khun Keeneeowl.
Update: Waited unil past 1am but the bar fine did not drop. My brother had to pay 500 bar fine at the bar next door as well.
1000 baht for long time?

I carry two different debit cards from two different banks. Plus, if I am going for 3 weeks. I bring $3000 in cash. I at least need $1000 a week if something goes wrong with my cards. My buddy had his card eaten by a Thai ATM and had to have money wired to him from the USA. He did not have cash for 24 hours because he only took what he needed for the day as he went and did not have back up. Also, sometimes there is a fluke with the card and it just does not work. Not saying it will happen but I am prepared if it does not. I only carry one card with me, the other in the room and always carry all cash with me. I stay in cheap Thai hotels close to the action. They sometimes have safes in the room. But I have zero confidence in those safes.

Hiding Money

Why not keep your money in the room safe? I use the Schwab debit card to keep costs down. I always keep enough cash for one day of spending plus the next day. If somebody breaks into my hotel safe I will at most lose one day of vacation funds. That would not ruin my trip. For those without a Schwab-like credit card why not bring some Traveler check's. Thailand is one of few countries where traveler checks are widely (and easily) accepted.

I started with a walk down Soi 7 and the place was wall to wall with girls.
I walked around quite a bit last night and it was almost like the flood of girls just came in this past week. There are seemingly new girls at every bar and massage place. Problem with high season is girls are looking for tourist prices. Was quoted 2000 for an hour by a very cute girl at Home Massage on 13/2. Quoted 1500 by a cute one on lowly Soi 25! WTF!
Hit my favorite gogo bar at LK Metro. I was there only a week ago and the number of girls have doubled. Not since June have I seen this many girls there.
Enjoy.

I don't bother negotiating if the starting price is ridiculous. Too many other girls around. All worked out I met a fantastic brand new gogo girl only an hour later.
I don't bother negotiating if the starting price is ridiculous. Too many other girls around. All worked out I met a fantastic brand new gogo girl only an hour later.
You may want to try never allowing them to propose the price and terms first. IMO, when they start at a higher price some (not all) may feel that they lose face if they take, for example, half what they originally proposed or started with.
Now, I am not someone who is into Go- Go places. So YMMV.
I am talking about freelancers. In Latin America, for expample, I never discuss price ahead of time. If they bring up the subject, I quickly say thanks and move on. But, I do this online after engaging with them for 1-2 months in small conversation every week or two.
At Insomnia, I usually talk for a minute, to qualify up close, then offer to buy a drink, and if I am still interested, start out by saying 1,500 LT (cause I do not do ST, except for massage girls who visit me at my condo). They will then dismiss me, walk away, or say yes, or propose 2,000 or 2,500 . And if I want to I may go to 2,000 LT.
But, please note that I only enter Insomnia after 12, and usually do not propose anything to any girl until at least 3 am. So, again YMMV, and you may not be interested in just hanging around for such a long time, as I do.
But, IMO, the key is to always control the negotiation. Do not ask or allow them to start first. You start with the terms, be (or appear to be) firm. I never go over 2,000 LT. Because they will then talk amongst themselves. And, I will have set a precedent for the next few days.
Also, important to note that I usually look, observe and carefully evaluate 'a priori ' for 3 day min GFE potential. If I don't see that, then I have zero interest. And, as I have noted before, if they are better than my expectation, then I will slip them more than what I agreed to, take them shopping etc. But, I also look to see if they count in my presence. If they do, then I do not repeat. If they don't, then I probably will. We all have our approaches. This is what works best for me. I avoid aggressive girls and generally avoid anyone who tries to approach me directly vs. slowly and indirectly. One way IMO to tell a true freelancer.

Not High Season

-
Plus, I imagine high season will be a bit slower this year. They'll be more willing to talk for a bit.
I've never negotiated with a girl. If she quotes too high of a price, I say no thanks and move on. If she quotes in the price range that this board agrees is right, I've usually said yes. Negotiating is a huge turn-off for me. I doubt I could even get hard after a bidding war with a girl. You should see their faces when I politely say no then walk away.

I don't want to waste both our times only to find out after 15 minutes we can't agree on a price for HJ, BJ, or FS.
Gogo girls we just go party, then sex and I pay for them to leave. Never had an issue but I am not a Cheap Charlie. I take care of my few regular girls. Not like the Japanese but I still take care of them.

From a personal level, many of my girls are coming back now too. I have to decide which one of 3 who came back this week to see tonight. 2 of them will be hurt.

Visited Kinnaree this afternoon. A bit sleepy for a Thursday afternoon. About 10 fewer girls than on Saturday. Good thing was no room wait time so I was able to get 3 girls in instead of my usual 2.
