Day Two (Tuesday).

Tried to sleep late but it was hopeless past 8 AM. I had a little bit of laundry to do so I gather it up and took it to my favorite place on Soi 13/1, Porn Laundry, then walk down to the Bat Watch restaurant for breakfast. I then came back to the hotel to work on yesterday's report, as well as to take care of some business from back home, and to try to figure out the new used phone I got the day before, which gives me phone and Internet for the next 2 weeks. My regular phone is an iPhone, and this Samsung Duos has a different operating system and I have no idea how to use it. I start to figure out a few things and by then it is 2 PM. I won't even be driving in Thailand period. When looking for a money clip (not something easy to find in stores) I looked at the first place I look for anything. Ebay. I found dozens and dozens to choose from, mostly for under $5. I found a modern take on the money clip with two clips back to back. One for cash and another for cards. $4. I realized that it will be a lot harder to pickpocket these things, not to mention easier to dispense cash. Thanks to whoever suggested getting a money clip.

Then it has been brought to my attention, that one will need to carry specific coins in Thailand. Coins for the baht bus, and the pay toilets, etc. We don't give much thought to coins in the modern world of electronic commerce. But, it occurred to me that I didn't need to be fumbling around for some unfamiliar coins when I needed them. It occurred to me I needed an old fashioned coin purse. Remember the plastic "squeeze" coin purses that used to be omnipresent and given out as freebies with the name of some business on the back? They are hard to come by now. Again, I looked on Ebay and found them. But they tend to ship from Asia, and cost more than a money clip, oddly enough. I found a bright red one for $5. It should be handy not to mention not so easy for me to lose!

Finally, I gave some thought to how I will carry around those condoms I will need. We all know not to put them in your wallet or your back pocket. At home there are a few in the glove box of my car, in case a date asks me to come inside her place. In Berlin last year, I kept a few in my jacket pockets. But, in Colombia earlier this year I didn't need a jacket. I put the rubbers in my front shirt pocket, where I already have two much stuff already. I looked into condom cases online. 1. There are several places with action. I think Soi 6 is the ultimate. The street is lined with girls sitting outside call for you. You can get cute girl for an hour for 1300 Baht, plus drinks. Less than $50 total and you do the deed right there, upstairs, and get two free showers included! Walking Street has the higher profile agogo's, but you have to go inside and they will demand you get a drink. Many many girls from ugly to beautiful, from maybe 2000 baht up to over 5000.
